Japan scrambled fighter jets on Saturday to head off a Chinese state-owned plane that flew near islands at the centre of a dispute between Tokyo and Beijing, a Japanese Defense Ministry spokesman said.

The Japanese jets were mobilised after a Chinese maritime aircraft ventured some 120 kilometres (74 miles) north of the Senkaku islands, which China calls the Diaoyus, at around 12:00 pm (0300 GMT), the spokesman said.

The Chinese Y-12 twin-turboprop later left the zone without entering Japanese airspace over the islands, he added.

It was the first time Japanese fighter jets had been scrambled this year to counter Chinese aircraft approaching the islands, the spokesman said.

TBH Im getting pretty scared of china..

I know they're getting stronger in term of military firepower recently, but what scares me the most; is the amount of soldiers available AND the exponential budget being dropped on the military program even more.


It would really be sad to see japan enter this war.

Japan wants a national army back since long time ago now. And since the nationalist japanese party won the last election, they put back the dreams to their own people to size up their sovereignty in Asia area. Like Bush did some years ago to his people against the middle east.

I will be not surprised a false flag operation is on the way against the "sleeping dragon" (China) like Japan did before with the Manchurian incident. "They" have to find the right timing to do it.
 
^The Russians have been rebuilding their missile capacities since the late 90s. But you're right, they are completely surpassed.

Nuclear warheads don't expire though.

Am I surprised? Nope. :)

I don't get it why some many people hate China. China never invaded a country (instead than Japan did so many times). Now, about war crimes... Imperial Japanese army commited some many war crimes, higher than Hitler and his nazi regime. But no Westerners know about that. It's easy to hate China because they "support" North Korea. In fact, China is neutral about Korean fights but China doesn't want any invasion in North Korea for a simple reason: If North Korea got invaded, who will be the next target? Awnser: China. China always supports all their neighbors against foreigner enemies. I have been 4times in Japan and 1time in China and Hong Kong. I saw what those Japanese Nationalists do and think about Westerners and foreigners: they just don't give any sh!t, they think they are a superior race. They have a game in Tokyo, catch up a Westerner and beat him up the hell his a$$ and then report to the police the Westerner jumped on them. No charges giving against Japanese who beat the Westerner and the Westerner has to go the police station to spend a night in jail. Lost in translation. And this happens more than you may think. Now, ziboy, tell me how many times have you been in Asia? Have been in China? Have been in Japan? Or is it only the love you share with your Acura makes you think Japan is so much better than China? :)
