So, Audi has plonked a massaged version of the 3 Liter TFSI turbo petrol motor into the US-spec Audi SQ5′s engine bay. The 3 Liter TFSI motor on the Audi SQ5 churns out a peak power of 349 Bhp while peak torque is rated at 470 Nm. The petrol powered Audi SQ5 will make its debut at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Motor Show.

All this power and torque is transmitted to all four wheels of the Audi SQ5 through the Quattro all wheel drive system. The 2013 Audi SQ5 features an eight speed tiptronic automatic gearbox that will put the power and torque generated by the 3 Liter turbo petrol motor to good use. The Audi SQ5 will dispatch the nought to 100 Kph sprint in 5.3 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 250 Kph, which is when the electronics will take over and limit the speed of this high performance crossover. That said, the gargantuan torque of the twin turbo 3 liter diesel engine on the SQ5 actually means that the diesel powered crossover accelerates faster than the petrol engined version to 100 Kph.

Like the diesel powered model, the petrol Audi SQ5 gets lowered suspension. The suspension is lowered by 20mm to ensure that the SQ5 hugs the road when it does the crazy speeds it is capable of. The 2013 Audi SQ5 high performance crossover is the German luxury car maker’s answer to the AMG massaged Mercedes Benz M-Class SUV.
 
Q5-S would have flowed a lot better IMO

But nice, I love this motor. Thing will be a beast.

Ca existe pour L'Europe mais pas ici ! SQ5 TDI ...une bombe (479 livres ) !

Par contre la TFSI sera dispo dans quelques pays seulement (environ 13 ou 14 me semble ).Canada, Afrique du Sud, Chine, Russie, South Korea, Singapore, Bresil, Mexic, Chile, Argentine, Ukraine, Chile.

Ma volvo n'est pas une bombe non plus. Quand on compare avec les autre VUS un peu plus gros ils ont presque tous dans les 500hp. Ça doit quand même très bien avancer on s'entend ,mais tout va dépendre du prix.
 
for some reason this one really doesnt appeal to me. Looks really boring. but 5.3sec 0-60 for a suv sounds ok tho.

Minimum 500HP. On fait la moyenne est au tour de 750-800HP.
 
Another useless SUV but it will sell because of the badge. Already the S-Line rides like shit on the streets of Montreal, I can only imagine how terrible the ride will be on this version. So much for luxury...
 
Didn't even know it was released yet... I do valet and I got it today

It's nice, comfortable and has plenty of power

I like it :)
