Here's the story:

Proceed to buy sick vintage watch on ebay.

Seller ships it 30th of December by XpressPost
I wait a couple of days. Contact seller since I Haven't received the package yet. Tells me it was received the 4th of January at 10:28 AM, gives me tracking number, confirmed by that.
Seller confirms he sent it to my address.
Some fucking cunt neighbor somehow managed to get the package.
I was home all day the 4th and never heard anything.

Canada Post, not even once.

Yes mad.

But Canada Post still better than Sameday.

My girlfriend made 2orders from Walmart on the same day (18th Dec), one was on Canada Post and the other one was on Sameday. We received the one from Canada on 20th Dec. But we didn't receive the one from Sameday yet and we are 10th jan. They will delivery tomorrow. When we called them to track the package, we were redirect to their head office in Ontario (Mississauga, I guess). They should change their name company for "MaybeNextWeek" (not Sameday).

Actually, Canada Post lost a watch I had shipped over from Australia.

Tracking number led to "Montreal Sorting Center", then poof!
Gone.

No one at CP knew where it was, and the only person who can start an investigation is the SENDER, so get him to move his ass.
They never found my watch, and I'm sure there's a postal worker walking around with a pretty decent watch.
In the end, the sender split the loss with me, so it still end up costing me $300 ($600 watch). Not that much coin, but still...

Fuck Canada Post!

Nope, I hate the delivery service because they did not deliver it to MY address.

it happens sometime. people make error. I'm pretty sure it happened to everybody that it's mail get delivered to his/her neighbor once. At least it got almost at your place.

How do you know they didn't deliver it and the neighbour didn't just steal it? "Oh he's not home I'll take it". Know what I mean?

For the record Canada Post > UPS > Purolator. It took Purolator about a month to get me my guitar once it had shipped.

lol'd at the last part

That's just the easy way to justify something going wrong, the essential part of the job of a mailman is to deliver mail to the right address, He did not do his job correctly.

Why don't you ask for it from your neighbour then?

I have multiple neighbors since I live in an apartment, I will go check with them tomorrow, but obviously if they kept it, they most likely won't tell me, oh yes I have your watch here take it ! :(

I'm pretty sure XpressPost will not leave the package unless you're there, so since I was home and didn't hear the bell ring at all, he would've at least left a note : attempted delivery, pick it up at X.

Well the only confusing part is you KNOW your neighbour has it. Theft happens countless times, especially in apartments. It's so easy to steal something from somebody's box.

Also when you buy a pretty expensive watch, you should spend the extra cash for signature on delivery...

I totally agree. But I'm pretty sure, again like everybody EVEN you, it can happen that once he did a mistake. Either because he had a bad day or he simply got the wrong door. But you shouldn't hate an entire delivery system because the mailman did one mistake. If it happens more often, I can understand.

I don't know which one has it, that's the problem.
But yeah, I thought it was signature on delivery automatically, that was my fault.

I work with Canada Post, contact your local PO and explain them the situation. I'm not sure exactly how much xpresspost covers when it comes to insurance. What area of Montreal are you in?
