So i was leaving this address not long ago

I turned right to go north on des sources, i stopped in the left turning behind a car at the red light. The light turns green, i turn into the gas station on the corner of churchill and des sources. I get out of the car, go into the station to get gum, then i decide that im not gonna wait in line, ill get gum when i arrive downtown.
So i get back in the car, and exit the gas station going south on des sources. By the time i get to the next light, an spvm pulls me over, and the conversation goes as follows.
The spvm officer told me he was behind me as i was driving down des sources from north, heading south. He said he saw me run the red light on churchil heading south (effectively passing the gas station).
After i explain to him that this is impossible, that i had turned into the gas station from des sources north, walked inside, decided to leave, and then get to des sources south.
He gives me a ticket for driving through the gas station to avoid a red light.
I was annoyed, as his first claim was that he was following me down des sources, yet he gives me a ticket which proves that his first story was a lie, it also proves that he did not witness this stop at the gas station.
When he handed me the ticket, he claimed he was doing me a favour because its a much cheaper ticket than a red light ticket. Yet he's basically admitting that he was lying...
