Quand j'parle de mon lézard en anglais, est ce que je dois utiliser ''He'' car c'est un animal domestique ou bien je dois utiliser ''It'' car c'est un animal peu connu et peu domestiqué?

I would use it for any animal

Dog "lovers" like trish would use he or she

But the correct usage is it, because the animal is not a person.

Depends do you know if it's a male or female? What kind of lizzard is it? Kinda looks like a Mexican beaded type

In the english language, he or she is ONLY used for humans. Even babies are its, because you can't always tell their gender just by looking at them. ALL animals are its.

You may say WHATEVER you want, there is no language police lol but you asked for the proper use, and that is it ;)

And you can use both he or it, I don't think either one sounds more "normal" than the other. I would personally say "he" since I've always used "he/she" when referring to my pets.

I'd say "he" and "she" are to be used with things that can display emotions that are easily comprehensible, like humans, cats and dogs. Other pets such as your lizard, snakes, fish, birds, etc. would go by "it" for me because they simply don't have a "personality."

This is just my opinion, there is no right or wrong on the matter.
