Just saw a news update on CTV, 13 year old boy shoots 15 or 16 year old brother in the head. Officers pronounce older brother dead upon arrival... More details to follow

A 13-year-old boy claims to have accidentally shot his 16-year-old brother in the head in Dorval.

Police confirmed the teenager was found dead at the scene, at 1515 Hamilton Place in Dorval.

The young shooter told police he got the gun from a closet in his home.

The boy called 911 after the shooting, and also called his mother.

C'est de la faute à Harper, depuis que le registre a ete aboli n'importe qui peut s'acheter n'importe quelle arme! Pas de cartage, rien, même les enfants de 12 ans peuvent s'en procurer! Je l'sAis c'est radio-canada qui me l'a dit!

More importantly, how did he get the ammo for said gun?
No one with an IQ over 60 keeps a loaded gun in the house, or even the ammo for the gun in the same location for that matter.

And why wasn't there a trigger lock? Every gun sold comes with one for free....
 
dumb parents...

My dad have 14 guns at my home. I'm 21 and I still don't know where he hide his ammo lol

+ no guns are loaded
 
I just never keep any gun loaded at home and always trigger locked. The day ill have kids every gun i have will be put the same way it is now AND in a locked safe in a locked room.
 
^A Storage closet is the best. Get one. They are cheap.

This is very sad. RIP. God, the poor kid that will live with killing his bro. His life is ruined.

et on va apprendre plus tard que le gun etait legal mais le pere etait un crisse d'epais qui prouve que le systeme est encore trop slack pour donner des permis
ou le gun etait illegal et le pere etait un crisse d'epais tout court
ou c'est des indiens pis ca on peut rien faire contre leur traditions
ou c'est des pas d'icittes pis on peut rien faire contre leur traditions


une chose est sure, un enfant est decede de facon gratuite alors je predis qu'en page 2 le thread va etre rendu 100% pro gun avec videos et photos

Parfait, on retire le registre et on se concentre sur un meilleur background check pour les détenteurs de permis. Tu viens de prouver mon point.

At 13 you know what a gun can do.. I don't blame the system but rather the parents who kept a weapon loaded near their children. It's not like that area of dorval is hood..

I grew up with 2 hand guns in my house and later a 3rd. They were all kept in a lock box and when I was older I was shown where the key was and the ammo, actually my dad kept the ammo in specific areas of the house very well hidden. I knew better than to touch the gun boxes and still to this day when I visit my rents house I don't dare grab the gun boxes without asking first.
