Straight pipe = ticket automatique?

Est-ce que la loi oublige que le système ne soit pas straight-pipe?

Quand je pense à certains muscle avec des pipes longue de 5 pieds, le policier a pas une broche aussi longue? J'aurai donc mis un muffler dans le millieu de la ligne au lieu d'être au bout.

like darkestfenix said elsewere anything not stock will get a ticket and you will have to fight for it everytime
even if it's legal in some kinda way
 
they also need to have the spec of your car to prove something is change/louder/missing. I don't think they have them for your skyline.
 
What I meant is that you can achieve a exhaust system with low sound with the right muffler and resonator while still beeing straight pipe. Or Am I wasting money trying to add 2 resonators to it.

with resonator i'm not sure they have to be very good
the best would be a magnaflow exhaust they don't kill to much the flow but are very good sound wise
 
Me suis jamais fais collé pour ca et dieux sais que mon exhaust est pas tres discret. Fais pas expres et ca va aller. Ca depend des autos aussi jimagine
 
^^^^ I'd have to agree with u, It does depend on the cars!!! Cars that are know to have big engines=loud=usually cops don't bother you.

I personally wouldn't even bother spending time and money on 2 resonators, cuse if or when they stop u for that, u'll get a ticket anyways!

J'avais une ligne 3" straigth sur mon evo 9 avec un muffler varex. Quand, je roulais normalement je fermais le varex et le bruit était comme OEM et si je voulais m'amuser j'ouvrais le varex, je tombais alors sans restriction. J'avais fait fiter le Tip du muffler pour qu'il soit pareil à celui d'origine, donc il avait l'air stock. J'ai jamais eu de problème avec les polices et c'était bien de pouvoir controler le niveau du son quand je le voulais.
 
It all depends what car you drive and how loud it really is.

I drove a loud Sentra and never had a problem. My Jeep's exhaust was not stock (not really that loud) but I never got stopped.

Civic now and you bet that it's staying stock.

avez vous deja vue un muscle car sur le bord du chemin pour un exhaust? moi JAMAIS...dans ltemps il n'avait pas les meme réglementation et ils ont un passe droit
 
Cobra, if you're adding a muffler and resonator, it's not a straight pipe.

A straight pipe is NOTHING. No muffler, no resonator, no cat... just a straight pipe all the way back.

Just like my Saab... and surprisingly I've never been pulled over.
 
MTV i've heard (and then seen) your saab wagon around the west here and there, it's f***kn loud. I love errything about it. Didn't know it was yours!
 
être straight pipe signifie n'avoir aucune restriction sur le bruit... tu peux pas dire que t'es straight pipe mais que t'as placé un muffler quelque part sur ton setup.

j'avais une ligne 3 pouces sur ma 850 turbo avec un catalyseur highflow Magnaflow et j'étais straight pipe (pas de muffler et ni de résonateur). j'faisais quand même du bruit mais j'étais turbo, et faut pas oublier que le résultat n'est pas du tout le même sur un N/A... j'me suis pas fait achaler parce que rouler une familiale règle générale ca attire pas toujours l'attention, donc oui ca depend en plus de ca du char que tu conduis
 
jai un 3" avec un catalyseur 2.75" et un muffler en grosse bouche de suceuse. Je me suis jamais fait coller MAIS je suis prêt. Puisque si le policier ne peut me nommer les composantes de la ligne d'origine, techniquement il n'est pas senser pouvoir te donner un constat d'infraction (puisque, comment peut-il prouver qu'il est plus bruyant, qu'il manque des composantes etc...)

yes but its turbo, its actually not that loud.. i think your more likley getting pulled over if you got a straight pipe some shitty car...i dont know how to explain it, but im sure u understand what im saying, its a different tone..
