Hi

My car has been outside since winter had started. I planned to store it before but the entrance to my garage in St Laurent (where i store the car i live downtown) was covered in snow from the snowfall. So I never cleaned it yet and when we got nice weather I just took advantage of it and drove the car. Now its fucking cold again and I really want to put my car away.

Just wondering if my car staying outside in cold weather is doing any bad to it? I absolutely NEED to get it in my garage n 3 weeks bc im going to brazil but im kinda feeling bad leaving it out for this long. Battery died twice, I had it jumped though. 2009 C63 Btw

Technically it won't actually hurt anything. However for a c63 I'd just store it so I can feel good. lol

Wont change anything if its inside or outside right now. The problem is when the weather is warm enough for the snow to melt.

won't really matter either way, it's not the cold or snow that damages a car in teh winter it's the salt, calcium and sand that gets kicked up from teh roads. But if you
re leaving for brazil it would probably be safer in a garage

Well, problems leaving it like this ... is fuel ... battery and flat spots on tires... if it wasn't prepped properly, issues could arise...

i used t o store my car outside in the winter. its paint wasnt very good so i didnt care about that. as long as you dont drive it, it will actually be cleaner in the spring thanks to the gentle snow baths it gets all winter. The salt is what kills cars.

even after 3 winters exposed outdoors the car i had (imported from the US) was perfectly spotless underneath, all the bolts were still gold.

it was a 1996 and the battery never died though..

I have stored my car outside. No difference other than risk of weather damage, falling trees etc.

x2 on this... At least thats what id do...

remove the battery and store it indoors if you're leaving the car there, the rest is all good. we have cars in the lot for over a year and they have no problems once we charge up the battery, had a client's car in the lot for almost 3 years (did not want to pay the bill) and it was all good after a minor tlc
The only thing I would add to stored cars is fuel stabilizer, the additive that prevent corrosion not the one for better mileage. It's good for cars stored for a long time with fuel in the tank.

how would you avoid flat spots on the tires? put it on jack stands?

isn't that bad for the suspension?

Inflate your tires.

Putting a car on jackstand is bad for suspension bushings since suspension parts are torqued at ride height.

criss ta une c63 amg pis tu nous demande si c'est mauvais la laisser dehors ??? WTF met la au chaud au plus criss tabarnak

Many people use jackstands, remove tires and lower slightly onto blocks to recompress the suspension so its not at full travel.
