Why do you own the car that you own?

subaru legacy spec B.

reliable, awd, practical, slick (sleeper look), fun fast to drive, relativly cheap to maintaint, fix and buy. To me ultimate winter vehicule if you don't want a truck.

I kinda felt the same way when I bought it being that my last few cars have all been turbo/modded/swapped but I am happy to admit I was wrong. Sure you could say my other cars where faster under optimal conditions within a small RPM range at a certain level of boost (or maybe not since the perception of speed in this car is unlike any other I've owned) but this car is always fast and always stellar.

You can be at 2k at low speed or doing over 200 km/h you hit the gas the throttle response and delivery of power is instant and endless. Even at those speeds it still hugs the road and has smooth responsive handling, breaking is very well balanced and it stops on a dime at any speed without ever throwing you off your seat. I can't stress enough how how fucking awesome the engine is. It loves being revved and offers such a great driving experience. It's so in sync with the car, the tranny and gearing, the LSD it all works together so well. The level of engineering and commitment to the purpose of the car is incredible. This is a DRIVERS car.

Like I said for the same cost you could have a car with a faster 1/4 mile, though 13 flat out of the box isn't bad at all, but it has a complete driving experience that you can only get from cars way beyond it's price range and that a lot of modern cars don't even offer any more. Even with all this it still has comfort, luxury, style and the fit and finish you would expect from BMW. I'll always remember this car as long as I live.

And yes it has an elevated cost of ownership but all and all it is a well built reliable car. It can be dailyed and tracked which can't be said for all cars that offer what it does.

INB4peoplecallmefanboi I am a fanboy becasue this car made me one so deal with it :thefinger

I have one because of all this and it's almost legendary status that attracted me to the car and did not disapoint!

Fanboy approved!

2006 911 cab

wanted to see what the fuss was about of having a 911 after years of Boxster S ownership

Carrera S was not that much more enjoyable to drive so decided to settle for the base engine until I can manage to get a turbo cab in a few years
