Honestly, do like this, and just "stance" it.

Find cheap replicas, and look if there are Coilovers for it that aren't very expensive. You should be able to resell them later on to another "budget" bar buyer looking to modify a bit.

People are taking "crappy" cars and stancing it, and it seems to be accepted. IMO, work with your own budget, but a nice stanced car is a nice stanced car.

Again, only my opinion, a slammed 92 civic with $3000 wheels isn't any better than this. It's still a low budget car that can be "stylish" in today's terms.

If I had $2000-4000 (dunno what those cars go for) for a car and mods, I'd look for a clean MK3 golf and stance that. Parts are dirt cheap, and car is older, and easier to work on. I've had american cars before, and I learned a lot, only because everything was breaking all the time, and I had no budget to bring it to a mechanic every month.

My next vehicle will actually be a Honda ruckus. Dirt cheap to run, hardly any maintenance, and I love the look.

Prend l'argent que tu allais depenser sur les mag et pneus et investi dans un bon system de son. Les pics a Toze sont pas si pire.
 
wow, so much hate, poor kid just bought his 1st car and he's happy with it, I don;t see the issue. For a 1st car, a 2008 G5 is actually not bad at all, people think this is like a 97 Cavalier or something.

Vas sur tirerack.com et tu peut mettre different mags sur l'auto pour voir de quoi ca a l'air. Des mags 17 ou 18" avec une belle drop et p-e un systeme de son c;est pas mal tout que tu devrais mettre. Et garde d'argent pour les reparations aussi, specialement cote suspension/direction c;est assez fragile

Ca marche pal mal sur une G5 coupe noir. Pas trop cher non plus. Tu pourrais t'en sortir dans un 1000$ avec des pneus.
 
I just don't understand why, why you bought this car ! I mean if you want a modes car why not buy something that can be modded. Im pretty sure with the money you spent to buy this car you could of had a way better base to have a great car. Now you are just stuck with a POS, yes you will be able to lower it and put wheels, but you will never get the fun factor out of it. You should of came here before buying to get an opinion of what is best with your budget, but i guess its just too late now...Thats just my .02 cents

Ben non man, tu vx qu'il gaspille 600$ (200$ la clutch sur ebay + installation). Il aurait pu juste acheter une short ram (pi flow) , mags noir, un drop et peinturer les calipers genre noir ou rouge

Maybe he wanted a recent cheap econo car 1st as a priority and the modding potential was not as important. Maybe he knew he won't go further then wheels and drop.

Il veut modifier son char qui compte chauffer pour les 4-5 prochaines années, why not le personnaliser un peu, c'est pas une shitbox de 500$ avec plein de rouilles qui va lâcher à tout moment quand même.
Lachez-y les baskets un peu. KEEETtttt! Drop, mags & tint because black car!
 
laisse faire le monde icitte j ai un sunfire gt 2005(même mécanique que ton g5) pour char d'hiver 120 km pi j ai de trouble avec deja 7000 km de faite avec sans problème moi jtrouve sa très fiable comme auto pi sa avance quand même c est sureprenent pareil.. plein de monde icitte qui vont te bullshitter pcq i prefaire avoir un civic si tout rouiller qui tombe en morceaux que de s'avouer que les nouvelles generation sont fiable et qui continue donc a croire que sa marche pique la rouille c est une mode pi concentre toi sur ton auto ..... tes roues c'est 4x100x113.5 si jme trompe pas ...ya un forum jbodydeltaqueébec ou on parle seulement de ces véhicules les gens qui sont la pourrons plus te renseigner...si non il y a sur le forum ici metro666 qui si connais aussis donc tu pourrais lui poser tes questions pi en passant t en fait pas pour ta clutch c est pas vrai que c est un faiblesse pentoute y auras toujours du monde qui conaisse rien pour parler tk bonne chance...

Non, icitte si ta pas un BMW , AUDI, VW dropper en pd, bin t'es une couille molle.

C'est simple char de marde daily caca d'épicerie + drop ou bag + mags $$$ = Local hero

Les BMW fanboys sont ce qu'ils sont. Pour les BMW fanboys, si t'as une MINI, t'as même pas la moitié d'une BMW parce que FWD. T'as une 328i/330i, t'es un poorman 335i. T'as une 335i, t'es un poorman M3. T'as une M3 (même une vieille), t'es un roi. Pourquoi essayez de les impressionner? :)

Une Pontiac G5 de base, c'est un "budget car". Laissons aller la nature des choses et laisser une G5 de base être ce qu'il a été conçue pour: un "bugdet car" qui ne coûte pas cher à réparer et à entretien. Pas un véhicule à modifier. Pour un véhicule de la plateforme Delta à caractère sportif excellent candidat à la personnalisation, il y a la Cobalt SS.

Im not planning on "modding" my car. All I want is for it took look kinda cool. Now, Im aware im not driving a supra, I bought this car because it was cheap and has potential to look cool. Its a 2008 and the 2 owners before me look like they took care of it, drives very smoothly, no problem. fuel economy is pretty sick too.

Im looking for: mags (and tires) , drop, sound system ( already bought), whatever else that would make it loook cool without beoing too expensive. I dont really dig the sound of the car, course its a very average engine and theres not much i can do about it, or is there?

ps : yes its manual

Donc c'est quoi tu nous demande? Tu sais deja se que tu veut! Va sur tire rack commande toi de mags/pneu, va sur ebay commande toi des coil a 100$, va nimporte quelle place ou il vend des system de son pour char pis chete 4 speaker, un 12" ou 2x10", ampli, radio pis instal le tout et bang!!! Looks cool!
