Fiabilité Lamborghini?

2 transmissions and 2 engines?? Plus 47,000$ service days before crashing it? (read the whole article) Wish I had that kind of money to burn on a car.

je me demande combien en entretien il a du payer pour se rendre la... :dunno:

Lamborghini line which is divided into two segments, the Gallardo and the Murcielago. Both amazing machines are quite expensive to maintain and the Lamborghini cost of ownership is not be taken lightly. The Murcielago will run you about $2000 for an oil change, $4000 for plugs and the best part $12000 for an E-Gear Clutch. The Gallardo on the other hand is more docile and similar to the Ferrari 360 Modena at just $400 for an oil change, $2000 for plugs and finally about $3500 for an E-Gear clutch. The Lamborghini maintenance ranges heavily based on the line you select and should not be taken lightly as the cost of new transmission could cost you $50,000 if a replacement is needed and lets not even talk about the engine failing. Despite using Audi based parts, Lamborghini does a great job at making you pay big bucks for parts so don’t take a chance.

Routine maintenance on a Lamborghini is not cheap by any means, but neither is your original purchase. An oil change can cost $400, a 15,000 mile check up $4,000 and a clutch $5,000. These costs will vary, but estimates can vary from $15,000-$20,000 to over $100,000 annually depending whether you race your car and whether you perform all the routine maintenance yourself.

4000$ pour les plugs... j imagine qu on peut aller ailleur que chez Scotti... :p

Ou les changer sois meme.

Bahhahaha well said

For a Gallardo just buy the parts from Audi. It's a fraction of the price! Besides its not a complicated car to work on. Also if the EGear clutch goes upgrade to one from a Murci.

There was a site I remember that sold rebuild engines and clutch packs. A rebuilt V8 was around 10-12k and the V12 about 16-18k. Not that horrible

Sure about the Murci clutch? I though the better option was something like a kevlar clutch from ECT (and some others...). Parts 4-5k depending and 30 hours of work, give or take.

Don't quote me on its just what I read online and was told by someone who works on lambo often. The part prices aren't horrible it's just the labor. An aftermarket GT3 RS clutch can run 3-4k for example

There is also the tilton clutch for egear

I love your copy/pasta without giving the link! http://www.secretentourage.com/lifestyle/autos/cost-of-ownership-of-an-exotic-car/

Yup thats right I don't have a Lambo so I wouldn't know the costs so I went on 6-7 sites and found almost identical pricing so I copy pasted it instead of saying whatever.

As for Greg I think 99.9% of Lambo people don't even know what a wrench is never mind changing plugs themselves.
Funny how all mechanics (even me) think this way.
If I had that kind of money I wouldn't work on my car either.
