So what are the positives?
  • "free" healthcare? ~50% of your tax money deducted from your paycheck goes to it. Calculate that amount. And what do you get? wait times, waiting list, subpar quality and service. Unless you have an advanced stage cancer, get in line.

I truly look up to a friend of mine. For exactly the same reasons I stated above, he finished his degree, packed up his stuff, cut all his quebec governmental cards, and moved to Saskatchewan to practice commercial law once he got his degree. Said he'll never look back and ever come back.

No, the grass isnt completely greener on the other side, but my logical gut says that them patches of yellow grass are a lot less in comparison to Quebec's lawn.

This provinces economic system is unsustainable. We will never see the Quebec provincial debt ever go into the green unless we implement high austerity, but it will never happen. Why? Because of Quebec's socialist mentality and the size the government has become. Noone wants anything to get cut..... Including archaic stupidities such as the OQLF....

I'm living with my parents, helped them purchase a house 3 years ago, built a basement from scratch and going to school. Why would I move out, move to another province/country, find a job AND do my studies at the same time? Why would I go elsewhere and have all the classes I've done not be credited? Why would I make my life worse than it is here? That's just stupid. lol When you move, you do it because there are more advantages than disadvantages. If I did it now, it's just stupid. I'd be shooting myself in the foot.

I've contributed over 50k in taxes since I've started working at 16 years old, I'm gonna use some of that contribution to take advantage of cheap studies. It's the least I can take advantage of.

I'm half-way through and once I'm done, then I'm getting the fuck out.
