Why no 3000GT . Old school JDM knowledge needed!

i think the 1999 VR4 looks awsome with the updated front-end and huge wing at the back. they still go for more then supras of the same year believe it or not

Pas plus pire que l'engine bay d'une Z32 TT.
C'était des machine plutot belle je trouves, elles n'ont juste pas eu la gloire que d'autres modeles ont eu.

actually it does look worse lol.

I always loved those cars and if it wasnt for my 300zx (or if I had room for another sport car) I'd love to own one of these. Definitely one of my childhood dream cars.

Transverse V6.

Yes they use the same "architecture" as the Evo, but the Evo has a 4 cylinder, which doesn't place half the motor on the front-side of the crank, like a transverse V6.

Also, it forces the transmission to be placed in the front-end, whereas any longitudinal mounted motor will place the transmission near the center of the car, allowing proper weight balancing.

Argue all you want, this placement forces a lot of weight in the front, and it makes sense to assume that it must've handled much worse than its competitors, like the GTR, the Subaru STI (GC8, come on!) and the Evo itself! I believe it is fair to assume it was underrated, but still not the greatest thing ever either. Also add to the fact that the ones found here were FWD versions which equals everything but fun, well popularity goes down the drain.

Yes, Mitsubishi made the Evo, which is a legend, but they also made the 3rd-gen Eclipse and this whale.

And while on the topic of Mitsubishi, I'm also sort of expecting a public statement in the near future from Mitsubishi saying how they will be closing down their car dealerships here. There are so few of them on the road I wouldn't be surprised if they finally closed down.

Merci simzx3kgt

I can clearly see the downside of the car design but bad design never stopped a car from selling... And it seems to me like the gto would have made a great grand tourer you know. The kind of car you drive up to Tremblant ... fast and capable... Just wonder why it was such a flop with the tuners and racers

And I also noticed how the cars on sale seem to be up there in price, I wouldn't pay those price for that car but if you are a fan or consider it a classic...

Just as I expected. Good gt for cross country drives

Maybe the car was to high-tech for the tuners...

The only car I regret selling is my 93 Dodge Stealth RT/TT. Bought it brand new in 1994 and modding it was so expensive due to rareness of the car. It was a tank and amazing during winter with its 4WD. It turned so many heads during summer due to its unique design for its time. Replaced it a few years ago with my ISF so it was super reliable to me. I'll try to get a 99 VR4 one of these days.
