Hi guys, Salut les gars!
Although it was raining and crappy weather, it was another interesting day for us. We got to work on a variety of cars, consisting of a Subaru Forster, a Scion FR-S and an Acura TL Type-S.
Malgré qu'il pleuvait et que la météo étais moin que favorable, ce fut une autre journée intéréssante pour nous. Nous avons travailé sur plusieurs voitures consistant dèun Subaru Forester, une Scion FR-S et une Acura TL Type-S.
They all got exterior Winter Preps and the Scion and Subaru got the interiors taken care of as well (The Acura's interior was done previously) The Subaru also decided to have the clear protective film installed on his front carpets. Here are some of the pics:
Elles ont touse recu des preparations d'hiver extérieur et le Subaru et la Scion on vu leur interieur se faire préparé aussi.(la Acura ayant été fait au paravent) Le proprétaire du Subaru a aussi opté de faire installé la pélicule transparente protectrice pour tapis. Voici les photos de la journée:
Subaru Forester:
Scion FR-S
The FR-S was the winner of a contest being held on another forum, so I was asked to make a write up so it could be shown on said forum.
La FR-S appartien aux gagnant du concours sur un autre forum, donc on m'a demandé de faire un petit write up qui sera posté sur ce forum.
We started by doing the interior. For a car with only 3000km, it was quite dusty and have quite a bit of sand and dirt on the carpets, but a good vacuum took care of that.
Nous avons debuté par l"nterieure. Pour une voiture qui avait seulement 3000 km, il y avait quand meme beaucoup de poussiere et de sable sur les tapis, mais un bon coup de balayeuse et le tour etais joué.
On the exterior, it's as though the dealer didn't even prep the car (a good thing!) dirt and stains were stuck in the paint and would not come off with the pressure washer, only by hand.
Pour l'extérieur, c'etais comme si le consessionaire nèavait rien fait (tant mieux pour nous!), il y avait des tache et de la salté qui etais coller a la peinture et ne s"enlevais pas au laveur a pression, ais quèen frottant a la main.
Dirty wheels. Roues sales.
So we started by rinsing it off. Nous avons d'abord rinser.
Then we each took our respective wheel buckets and got to work.
Ensuite, nous avons chaqu"un prit nos seaux pour roues et on 'est mit au travail.
Then we foamed the car and cleaned and degreased it.
Par la suite, on a ensouvelit la voiture de mousse pour laver et degraisser la voiture.
On to the iron decontamination.
On passe a la dÉcontamination de fer.
And then the clay bar decontamination. There wasn't much left, but still enough to show on the clay.
Et ensuite la dÉcontamination avec la clay bar. Il n'y avait pas grand chose, mais assez pour paraitre sur la barre.
Aquapel application.
Application du Aquapel.
Application of the Carnuba wax on top of the insulator wax.
Application de la cire carnuba apres la cire isolante.
Clean wheels. Des roues propre.
Final shots in the garage. Les clichés final dans le garage.
Look at the beautiful pearl. Regardez-moi ce beau fini perlé!

Acura TL
On to the Acura! The owner of this car picked it up about a month ago and wanted it to be prepped for winter. Final shots only.
On passe a l'Acura. Le propriétaire de cette voiture en a prit possesion il y a environ un mois et il voulait la faire preparer pour l'hiver. Photo finale seulement.
Outside, I took a few shots with the flash, which just so happened to really bring out the blue pearl/metallic in this paint. It also shows the tightness of the beading.
A l'exterieure, j'ai prit quelque photos avec le flash, ce qui a donné comme resultat de belle photos démontrant le metallicéperlé de la peinture. Ca a démontre l'effet de la cire aussi.
