Insecure anglos eh? Who is the one making a million stupid laws to protect french in every single way possible? Who is the one trying to ban english completely from this province?
We are the only place on earth where we try to ban the internationnal language from being displayed at all and we ARE part of Canada. We are probably the only place on earth where you have language police going after small shops and waste taxes because of 'steak' and extra f in cafe. We look like such fools and some seem to enjoy it very much.
So rethink what you wrote. Who is the insecure one here?
Also your anglos here, most of them speak 2-3 languages and are perfectly bilingual.
This. Logik23 is either a garbage human being or a big troll. He constantly says things against the anglophone community and supports blatant denials of said community's rights. I seriously doubt he feels as strongly opposed to the francophone community in Eastern Ontario (forcing bilingual sign laws, trying to force more mandated bilingual jobs, displacing unilingual anglophone nurses in small towns like Cornwall, etc) as he apparently seems to be opposed to the anglophone community in Quebec. For people of his ilk, It's okay for the anglophone community in Qc to be marginalized and disrespected, but it's an absolute travesty that francophone communities outside of Qc aren't treated like royalty. Ironically, he's just not a very "logical" person.
I can't stress enough how true this is. I consider myself a bit of a francophile but I have mixed emotions constantly because all the OQLF/SSJB/MMF/MQF/QC gov't constantly yapping about how "ici, c'est en français que ça passe" feels very wrong to me and makes me nauseous. If Qc truly wanted to be French only then the society/gov't needs to take the bold move and shut down all English schools/hospitals/colleges/universities. Because otherwise, you're always going to have an anglophone minority that will not feel comfortable with willingly accepting second class status as a non-francophone.
yup, same here. I love the French language and culture and studied them all throughout my education, including university, but I equally love and value English and I find it fucking absurd that a buch of yahoos are telling me that my kids are not allowed to go to english schools (where they also teach perfect french) and must go to french schools where English is taught as a foreign language and at a very crappy level. They want to force my kids into a brainwashing unilingual french school environment and they want them to grow up as unilingual francophones to make sure that they never have a good chance to quit this province when they grow up.
Well the yahoos can suck my dick. My kids have to go to french school, but outside of school we're immersing them in an english only environment and encourage them that "a l'ecole tu parle francais, but outside school we speak english".

You know why this French shit always emerges in time when the government needs people to take a look away from a more important issue?
Show me proof of these francophones "taking over" Eastern Ontario.
We do not want to be 100% only french, we want to protect our language. That's why there are English schools and Spanish schools and Iranian schools and Hebrew schools, etc.
anglaa gonna anglaa
The arguments. That its always pointless and its always the same people arguing on the same sides. I wonder why.

You know why this French shit always emerges in time when the government needs people to take a look away from a more important issue? The Charboneau commission is just starting to really dig deep, so they come out with ridiculous shit like OLF attacking poor folks trying to run a profitable business in a province plagued by big government corruption.
