Film being shot about the Montreal Automotive Scene.. INTERESTED???

Matthew the reason you may be getting snarky responses here is because we've seen it all before. Many newbs who think they are big shots themsevles fail badly at this sort of thing. The other reason is that our scene is filled with so much shit and this shit makes its way into the videos and it's embarassing.

I hope you spoke to the correct "big shots" and not people with names like "Team White Lightning" and "Monchar".

Talk to DannyITR. As the owner of the bieggest community in Qc he'll have some insight
Talk to Qc based manfuacturers like Fast, DAI and STD
Don't talk to HTT
Talk to reputable shops like Perry Auto, Lazer Auto, Rd Turbo, MD Tuning. Guys that actually sell stuff and have been around a while.
Go to weekly meets and talk to the organizers: JDM Mondays, Euro Tuesdays, Muscle car fridays and even the new ones form last year like So Clean, Dirty South, South Shore Wednesdays etc coudl help.
Go to an Ultra Ride
Go to a DMCC
Don't go to a Futreshop Sound & Shine
Talk to the old organizers of SCP like Ben Woo and his staff
Talk to pro drifters, pro draggers, pro autocrossers
Don't talk to trish

Unless we see Tangerine Dream inserting a 2 liter bottle of soda, it is not indicative of the current car scene in Montreal.

semi-srs.

im down if we film some highway pulls footage and i can get alot of fast cars to join us , none of that hellaflush phaggotry

this should be in the you laugh you lose thread

It would be cool, it would take a while but, If you actually scoped out some of the special rare cars that linger in the montreal area. Im so sick of Miatas and S2000's I cant even look at them anymore.

srs u should make a movie about montreal street racing instead

Oh and a few more points. You didn't start a blog, you strated a thread. MontrealRacing isn't a blog either it's a community and this is it's forum. Try to get the basics down.

You are the editor for a supercar website:
- Do you own a supercar?
- How long have you been in this job? Is it full time?
- How long have you worked in the industry?
- Any links to past videos produced by you?

I ask because you could be a 23 year old dude living in his parent's basement who's never owned a car and it wouldn't really help your credibility. You may be a supercar expert but I'm just curious.

I'm not too worried about the remarks because I've lived in Montreal/Laval my whole life and I know exactly what responses I'm going to get before I hit the "Post" button.

I have interviews lined up with the majority of the people you've listed there. I've had many bad experiences with HTT; we've tried to get many interviews/Factory Visits with them from GTspirit.com, and every time they've said yes, they have always postponed it, so that was the last of that.

I've seen probably all of the attempts and fails of other people trying to do the same things, but I've been in filming for two years doing corporate videos and ads, and I know failure is not an option.

Thanks for the advice on who to go for, I see a couple of things in your list that I haven't included in mine, so I'll get on that ASAP.
