Hello All,

I've been having a craving for an Onion Blossom/Blooming Appetizer. Last time I've had it was at Outback Restaurant.
Any Restaurants in Montreal that serve it?

I don't see what the big deal is. It's a damn sliced onion that's battered and deep fried.

It's like an onion ring but sliced differently, and harder to eat.

Je veux un lien pour une recette! Trop lazy pour chercher

Slice an onion in a checkerboard pattern but stop about a quarter inch from the end of the onion so you don't slice through all the way.

Dip the onion in flour mixed with cajun seasoning (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, basil, thyme), then dip the onion in milk, and re-dip the onion in the flour mix. Fry the damn thing and it will open up like a flower and serve it with a dip of your choice.

Next time I'll explain how to pour milk in cereal.
