Anybody watches this show?

The second season started few weeks ago and I like it a lot.

The guys don't take themselves seriously at all, it's funny as hell and the process of finding old cars and buying them is awesome to watch.

They seem to get a lot of smack from other Hot Rodders but I find the Hot Rodding community contains a lot of overly serious butthurt drama queens crying about "the proper way to do things" and other presumed gearheads that have a hard time appreciating anything else other than their own work, if there is any to report.

They buy cars and sometimes build them back up, or fix a few things up and flip them up at auction for a quick buck.

The guys are having fun making a living doing what they like, and the show reflects that so it's fun to watch.

Love this show! Rawling is a real pimp! I was a huge fan of American Choppers until i saw this one. No drama.

I'm addicted to the show. My favorite car show of all time.
What I like about it is alot of the car's they get are SO FAR GONE it's not worth it in anyway to do a proper resto to them. These guys get them back on the road, and I like their style.
Richard is an avid shelby collector they are both Ford guys, and so am I.

I don't think much of it is scripted.

IMO the show could be better without Richard , let's be honest ... HE DOESN'T DO ANYTHING !!

Except the fact that's his money he's just an annoying bigmouth that complains too much.

He hold the world record for the bullrun rally. He regularly participates in the road rallys, he's a hard core car guy and made his money honestly. He's a good guy.

No Drama ?? Bitch please !!

Every single episode is based on fake drama : In each episode they have to build a car in a tight time crunch to make it to the auction. At this moment Richard starts to act like a bitch (as usual) and complain about Aaron not workin' fast enought and bla bla bla ...

If they miss the auction what's the big deal to park the car beside the shop and wait for the next auction ,I mean it's not like the car was about to explode why always rush to finish it. They should take their time and make it happen properly instead of just dizzling a bunch of shit .

They're making the Hot Rod community look bad with their scatterbrained "work ethic".

I hate them but I watch the show becuz it's the only "carshow" around.

Most of the work they do never actually makes it onto the show. It's only 1 hour.. They probably actually do really good work, they have people from europe coming over to buy their cars, you think they'll go through all that to buy shitty cars?

Like I said alot of the car's they do don't deserve a "proper" restoration, and would have never gotten one anyway. They are taking cars out of the field and getting them back on the street, and I can respect that. These are driver's cars, and that's awesome.

The car's they get that do deserve a proper restoration (shelby, willys ...) they flip to other shop owners who have the time and budget for it.

What's the problem?

First post of the thread right here :

Love the show, it's the kind of cars I would buy. Would have killed for that GT350 he found. Although I do find it funny that his clients always bring the exact amount of money needed to buy the cars... no more and no less. Counting Cars is also pretty good. On the same level as Pawn stars and American restoration.

funniest thing on that show is the chinese lady

and for the auction they always end up loosing money

good show

They're hacks that's pretty much it , at least they're enough of a realistic to sell all the good ones to some people who don't use "a tremclad can" as a basic tool.

I would have kill myself if they had tried to "restore" the shelby without taking off the frame and redo it the right way.

I'm far from being mad , but according to you guys their stuff is like the holy grail .

And obviously making money isn't an option ahah , Richard is far from being a good negotiator as well as putting every car on "no reserve" to make sure they lose money at the auction .

Gas Monkey Garage was created for the sole purpose of becoming a brand, the next OCC (srs, look it up). I can respect a business plan like that.
