ALERTE (2013-03-13) La Corée du Nord & les Etats-Unis

Incredible how brainwashed they are. I feel the US and South Korea might be in for a drawn out conflict if this thing becomes mostly a ground war.

If you face prison in the worse places possible you will do what the government says.. Its no brainwash but communism. We're not talking about a religion where you can leave...

I highly don't think they'll do something unless they have an ally like China that's gonna support them. It's not WWII's anymore where Hitler owned Europe for the first two years while Mahattan project was being created.

North korea doesn't have any types of military capabilities that can make attacking the U.S. possible.

Even if they launched a missile against us, the NORAD would see it before it's even half way towards it's target and be able to shoot it down.
As far as retaliation goes, the americans would have the perfect excuse to erase NK from the world map and put a final end to it's regime.

NK was powerful in the 70s when it had plenty of food and a good economy that was backed by the soviets, but as soon as the 90s hit, and the soviet support was cut, the country turned into a sinking ship that brought millions of people with it. They can attack South korea with stiff but unprecise artillery fire, still cause serious damage to Seoul for some time, but they will never conquer any territories in the southern side. They might have 1-2 million soldiers, but remember that their weaponry is still obsolete and that their mobility relies on old equipment that might be obsolete too, so progression towards the south would not only be slow, but the losses on the northern side would be extreme seing the immense technology gap that the south has.

The only reason they are being agressive right now is not because they are planning an attack on someone, but because they want to restore the power balance in their favor diplomatic-wise, and therefore deter any chances of being attacked by a foreign power so the regime can stay alive.

I can't believe how a country that has the military budget not even equivalent to the personnal fortune of the last of the top 500's in the nation it want to eradicate can even bother thinking about waging war against it.

oups...Breaking news: http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/15/us/north-korea-missile-defense/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is expected to announce Friday afternoon that the Pentagon will enhance the nation's ability to defend itself from a nuclear attack by North Korea, a U.S. defense official told CNN.

Hagel will announce that the United States will deploy up to 14 additional ground-based missile interceptors on the U.S. West Coast, according to the official.

Part of the move would involve reopening a missile field at Fort Greely, Alaska, and some of the interceptors would be based in California. It would take two years for all of the systems to come online.

I think the US are starting to take NK seriously....... :yikes:

Cyber attack on South Korea... They want to disable TV broadcast so SK cannot warn the people...maybe first strategy before an attack :dunno:

The only attack they are likely to do is shell an island on the southern side. The rest is pure provocation and muscle flexing.
Even at that, back in 2010 when they shelled the island, they killed 3 south koreans and then the south shot back killing over 20 north koreans lol
