Official MR Detailing Products Experience and Review Thread

What's up guys!

Today I tried Wolf's Chemicals Body Wrap, a nano sealant. I've used Opti-Coat and Aquartz Premium & Titanium before. Let me tell you that Body Wrap blows them out of the water! A little goes a long way, price is pretty good for what you "use per car", you can apply it like any liquid wax (DA with a LC blue) and it buffs off super easy. And the shine? OMG! As of now, Body Wrap is deff staying in my arsenal and I would recommend it in a heart beat if someone is looking for durability/shine/price/ease of use. Before anybody asks about the smell, it dosent smell that bad, kinda smells a bit like Collinite 845, but less "plasticy". Kinda hard to pin point the exact smell, but it's not strong.

Here are quick pics, I wont post info on the process, only reference pics about the results of Body Wrap.

I was hoping for better/more pics than that Phil! :p I'm guessing this is Finbar's Juke?

From what I've read, Body Wrap is a nano sealant, not a coating like Opti-Coat, so they can't really be compared on which is "better" Both have their uses. I do however like what I've seen and will be adding it to my arsenal as well.

I'm working at a Ford promo event cleaning the cars for the filming they're doing. I'd like to share my experience with the products I chose to use for the task. I'm using croftgate USA waterless products aquanil X, muliticlean, and quick n slick.

Their not the kind of products you compare to a full detail with polish and wax but I'm very impressed with their ease of use, effectiveness, and speed. They worked perfectly for what I asked of them being in the middle of a parking lot and short on time.

Highly recommended for the average cleaner or maintenance washes or anywhere without access to water or cleaning equipment. They even work well in direct hot sunlight.

I wanted to post some pics but I wasn't able yet as we were strapped for time. But I'll update the post if I am able to when I work on some other cars.

Gtechniq EXO enfin facilement disponible!!

I see that on AO, The water ban is now lifted at my house so I can get back to detailing at least legally lol, I'll be reviewing some products

This is an interesting video describing the steps involved in a detail, it can be very helpful to beginners or people who have questions about the order of certain steps or the purpose of those steps.

Some notes I would like to add about the video, you will notice in the video Greg says the glaze step is optional personally I don't really use this step if the polishing steps are done correctly there will be no need for fillers and shine enhancers. Another note about the spray waxes and quick detail spray, there should be no need to apply these immediately after sealants/waxes if the products were properly applied. The spray waxes and quick detail sprays are useful at later dates after maintenance washes to enhance the shine and durability of the sealants/waxes that were previously applied.

The video describes only the steps involved in paint detailing, it does not include other aspects such as wheels/tires, glass, interior, headlight restoration, trims etc.

Also the video obviously pushes only chemical guys products but the same theories apply to any quality product

Chemical guys have hundreds of videos on their channel about detailing and products if you are interested.

I've never tried it but it has good reviews. There's a lot of quality waxes you can buy in that price range only way to know which you prefer is to try some, the CC 5050 is a good place to start. Let us know your thoughts about it if you buy it.
