This year I wanna do it myself, was just wondering is it complicate? and after you're done filling your taxes...do you need anything else? i.e. getting those papers checked by an accountant?
Sure you might think it is cheap compared to letting one of those H&R Block people do it, but little do the public know that Revenue Canada and Revenu Quebec should pay for it or reimburse the public since they encourage us to use Netfile for our returns and they cut their printing budget on paper versions of the return ! Last budget I heard was the Federal Government alone spends $60 million in printing the paper returns let alone the time it takes one of their employees to process a paper return.
Write your local MP to have tax return software provided free of charge !
They knew about this scam since 2005, costs an employee at Revenue Canada $44 to process a paper return and just $1 for an electronic return !
I'm a little late joining the conversation, but from a totally biased point of view, UFile lol!
We do actually have a code for 15% off UFile ONLINE this year, so if any of you decide you want to give it a try, can't hurt to a little extra money off - X1U54E64FB
We posted this on our Facebook page earlier in the season and we've also got a contest on Facebook where you "Like" us and are entered in a draw to win $10,000, if anyone's interested. http://goo.gl/ZGsdM
