Too many meets this summer. Wtf is going on!!!

I've been to several meets in my day, nothing turned me off more than showing up and seeing a select few losers doing burn outs and other stupidities.

Meets are a way to gather people together with a similar mind set of "Modifying a car to their tastes" and "Showing it to others".

That being said, I think the theme for all these meets should be RESPECT.

Respect for each other, respect for yourself, and respect for the community. SIMPLE.

Here's to a respectful summer and hopefully we have a safe time doing so. *tu*
 
I agree about the sectors. But for me there is 3
South shore
Montreal
Laval

I go to meets in montreal and laval as well, but its nice to once a week only have to drive 3 minutes to get to a meet to hang out.
I like the laval meets but I have to cross 2 bridges to get there; and one of them is the Champlain.

I get your point of view but unfortunately it makes others guilty by association, if they want to go and drive crazy away from the meet in that case let them and they run the risk of getting in shit but keeping the meets safe and relatively quiet and not pissing off pedestrians and cops is essential to it being successful and letting the cops understand our intentions.

I like going to meets and I like going to new or different ones to avoid always the same people/cars/location, and I don't care if people come in so called shit boxes not everyone is fortunate enough to have 20k for a car, everyone is dealt their own hand in life and it's really unfair to judge others based on just their car. I was once driving civics and other POS's but my passion for cars still remained it's more about chilling with friends, meeting the community especially those we communicate with regularly right here on MR. Checking out those nice cars that do show up and appreciating work that people have done on their cars, and just having something different to do on some week nights where you would otherwise be doing the same old shit.

With that being said not all meets are successful but if it's a good turn out then I'm down and also it often comes up when talking to people that I offer detailing services and many people are very happy to show my their car and ask questions about techniques and products which I am happy to assist them with or they may be looking services which I am happy to offer and in the end we both leave happy. Just as I have met people who offer other services which I was interested in. It helps grow local services within the community, another bonus.

^^ Perfect examples of "meets" where people slap on a few stickers at an angle in their rear window and think they drive modded cars.

1- get a decent paying job
2- get a decent car
3- get decent mods on your car
4- then come hang out

Also, if you chill at car meets everyday of the week, you're probably socially awkward and have no friends.

I agree somewhat with that but IMO u don't need a modded car to come to meets . I generally do meets just to catch up with friends and maybe look at a car or two but that's just me

As said before, if you have anything respectable (it doesn't have to be anything crazy), you're more than welcome to come to meets. But if you're trying to START a new meet and you drive some crapmobile, don't expect your meet to get big with serious cars showing up, expect beaters and ticounes showing up.
 
Agreed that meets are crazy out of hand now. We need to wage war on all the non-car guy phaggots, all the dickweeds who can't turn a wrench, all the fucktards who spam their shitty meets, all the ricers, and all the dipshits who are trying to profit from meets and shit.

We need a list of shit to boycott starting with everything Vespoli
 
Chris and I will be brainstorming to possibly bring back the OD JDM Mondays...we had stopped early august because of 1: stupid people acting like idiots and 2: everyone throwing all their trash on the floor, and us having to pick it up at the end of the night!

We will keep you posted!

not to say anything bad cuz u guys did an amazing job for the JDM mondays but what do u expect to happen with auto acethetics and their monday meets when u decide to come back?
just something to think about because auto ace has been doing a blessed job keeping the monday night meets alive


already last year year i went to 6 meets in one week for a month straight...yes i have a life just not for that month...and to see already a minimum of 6 new meets pop up out of nowhere all in the same week is crazy! everyone just wants to be internet famous and create groups and pages and get likes when most of them probably dont even know how to turn a wrench and do something interesting to their car
i go to car meets to meet new people and see what theyre projects are learn about all cars and get inspired and ideas for my own projects...liek lejour said...ppeople need to boycott stupidities so theyre could be the few MAIN meets of the week bringing the community together and not off into their little meets of 10 loner ticounes

Fine and dandy that you like taking photos or shooting vids..does not make you Media so don't make a facebook fan page for your Jean-Guy Media Photographe shit talents! and 3) too many "Rides" ..Having rides ( UR ) is cool but trying to make one every week or what ever is retarded..
