I'd say I have another 2 hrs of work for tomorrow, make sure everything works and then I'll start closing the walls!

Stay tuned for more

Thanks

Nice work on the garage Nico.

Looks like you will have quite a bit of drywall repairs to do now. LOL.

If you need some suggestions or advice for the drywall repairs let me know, I did a lot of patches in my house. I rewired almost the entire house, so you can imagine how many holes I had to fix. :)

Thanks Vitto!

Yeah i know, I didnt want to make that many holes but I had no choice. Thanks for offering help! I think I'll be fine as I have done plenty in the past, it is not that hard really, just time consuming!

Thanks again

Got to see the place this evening! Once ready to receive, this place will be a very nice work space for those of you who get your car done by Nico. :)

More progress pictures, I'm getting closer and closer!

My friend lent me his cutting tool for the gyprock and I cut the area around the sub panel myself :)

I also started plastering, lots of work ahead!

Hi guys!

I've been really busy dealing with the last step of this renovation! Everything is going according to plan.

Mudding is 95% done, I only have to touch up some areas and that's it. Here are some pictures

One of the walls is ready for primer. I sanded the whole thing and only found 10-15 areas that needed minor touch ups.

Porcelain is getting installed next weekend and I'll try to have most of the walls painted by then!

BRAVO Nico!

I will swing bye to see you once completed to get some work done on my car.

I hope to have you and the staff looking smashing!

This thread needs a huge update!

These had to be reinforced before tiling.

they were being held by nails that didn't penetrate the concrete. I decided to remove the existing nails and use these concrete screws instead, they were drilled in.

More to come!

Scissor lift showed up

I also installed the fluorescent lights above the workbenches. I must say, I somehow screwed up here... shame on me! Both of the lights were on 24/7 and had no way of turning them off unless using the breaker.

Here's how i fixed the issue:

I added a switch for each one, which i wanted to do since the begging anyway

I first measured right in the middle of the two receptacle

20130617_141904_zpsf36fd627.jpg

Removed the light and made a whole to place the new box with F clips

Found my fish

Same process for each table, ran new wiring, put the switch and that's it!

I then decided to do this

Which turned into this ( ignore the mess please)
