lineup for trance is just AMAZING!!! wish I could go too but do not have 175$ to go there unfortunatly..
 
the djs, and this thread is the exact reason I do not go anymore. and it gets worse every year.
the quality of music = the quality of crowd. you people are sad as fuck, and ruin/give a bad name to the scene.

I was holding back from responding here, but wow.

People like this are what are ruining Stereo aswell, place used to be a haven. Don't you start noticing a problem when the gays don't even start attending their own temple.

I laugh when I see friends post pictures of guys all decked out in white gear playing with glow sticks all tripping out on drugs on FB.

I much rather get punched in the face and slip in puke at a Tool concert.

dude relax....seriously these kinds of scenes have always been FULL of drugs!

Yes people freak on the music but any sober person can't go for 10h straight whithout beeing high as fuck! And those who arn't get bored quick!

Plus this type of music is becoming more and more mainstream!hip hop and rap in clubs is slowly dying down! I remember just 5 years ago, everyone called me gay for liking trance/techno/dance.......now its normal! LOL

I never said anything about drugs. I'm speaking about the mentality, what the scene is really about. Anyways, I'm getting way in over myself, BeB has nothing to do with anything.
Drugs aren't supposed to make the scene, they're supposed to enhance the experience: you don't party to take drugs, you take drugs to party.

Listen buddy. Ive been in the scene for 8 years now.

In the last 2-3 year everything about this scene sucks.

The drugs
The music
The crowd.


I occasionally enjoy doing drugs and i think that BEB is the event to go to do so..

Yes there will be juiceheads
Yes there will be douchebags
Yes there will be david guetta.


I dont care anymore man.. The good times of the scene are way behind us now..

But its not a reason to stop having fun.

I just wanna party, be high..with my friends...and mack half naked bish



I dont care about this scene anymore..about those dj's..about how this years beb lineup sucks....between you and me, the only dj i'll enjoy for real will be Dubfire.

Im not going there for the music ANYMORE im going there for the party.

I remember when massives had lineups that didn't consist of cheese trance or Prog house. Fuck this city and the lineups that we get.

Horrrrrible.

If they booked Guetta, Swedish house mafia, Tiesto, AVB and all that garbage at the BPM Festival or at openings in Ibiza there would be riots.

Actually Steve Angello from SHM was booked for BPM this year and LOL fans bombarded the BPM's festival page to cancel him out and guess out he got cancelled.

For some reason Montrealers eat the garbage they are fed with a golden spoon and aren't even able to digest it.
 
I will be there and it will be my 5th beb. Yes these last 2-3 years the music got cheesier but I also see the Beb as a party more than a music show. If I want to go hear some quality less known artist I'll go to circus or stereo whenever they book sombody I like. But since I'm not a student anymore I almost stopped going out when there is no special event so Beb has become some kind of yearly pressure relief party for me.

Don't get me wrong.. I totally respect that and I'm not relating this comment directly at you..
But that is what the problem is at the same time..
The scene used to be about going for the music with a bunch of good people and good vibes. Now it has just become another excuse to go party and probably get cracked out of your mind casue it's the "cool" thing to do. These are the kind of people that don't care about the music, therefor, they keep booking garbage Dj's and everyone's eating it all up and the scene is dead.

Don't get me wrong either, I listen to trance 24/7 since almost 10 years. I listen to trance when I work, when I chill, when I shower, when I eat, etc. But now I'm not that little elitist underground bitch anymore. I just accepted that the scene got commercial the minute it began to pick up some popularity in the states. I was just saying that it's normal for a massive event to try to gather to a massive audience and that there still are places where you can satisfy your more refined tastes.

Very ture.. The thing is though, the bigroom experience was probably the greatest experience of all for our scene and I feel as though it's now nonexistent.

Sorry guys but what up with the music ?? Since im 16 I love trance music and progressive, and this year, all my favorites and the best of the best are there in the trance room, AVB, Ferry and Schulz, Cosmic gate (FUCK YEAH), W&W (FUCKKKK YEAHHH !!!!) fuck what do you want more?? Ive been in 2009 where that was my latest BeB ive been thrue, and went from 12 to 8 straight dancing without having a single oz of drugs, guess what, liked it better than before!! was so nice, i felt like I could enjoy the real feeling of good music, i was there for the good reasons, being with my friend enjoying live set from the best, dancing with the finest chix ! I think you should go there for you own personnal liking, most of people go there and take the occasion to enjoy drugs to trip with the crowd + music, but arent real trance / house fan, but do not put everyone in the same basket srs.

Btw how was the show!? couldnt be there ... im at work right now yeahH!! overtime..

Really!!??? WOW its been a long time since I didn't go to a club but this is actualy good news to my ear. I'm actualy curious to go out and go see if this is true.
