Vegas 101 - Bring your inputs bitches!

3 things:
- Looking for a list of good places to eat, will be there from April 6th to 13th for NAB. Nothing too costly though since I'm going to be eating out almost every day for one week.
- Looking to go shoot some firearms, any reputable ranges?
- Anyone have any experience renting an exotic and/or sports car for one day to go ride in the desert/cayon? Not those organised trip things, just plain out renting a car and riding it solo.

Sorry, read the thread a while back and didn't see your post. On the first page I didn't think the "gun store" was the actual business name.

Pense tu j'ai le "temps" d'aller au grand Canyon?ou c'est trop short car j'ai fouiller un peu et y'en a qui dise 5h aller et 5 h revenir pi un autre site il dit 2h30 de Las vegas ?

1. To update later on but ain't got much... i was eating more alcool that anything else lol!

1. Will take any tasty suggestions ;)
2. Thanks for the tips
3. I was eyeing that car rental Website last night. I'm just afraid of places that try to claim damage that wasn't done by you.

For #1

I did a couple expensive restaurant, to me was nothing "amazing"... since i used to live in Europe i had amazing quality meal for cheap price so all "fancy food" in Vegas for me was way too expensive for what it was (to my opinion).

We did go the the HardRock Café, it's a classic in the US but as said in a other thread f*cking expensive for what you get. We took beer with glass you keep (14$...dammit!) so for 3 person it ended up to a 180.00$ bill for 2 drinks each, burger and appetizers plate (21$ for cheap stuff). The ambiance wasn't what i expected they were playing Justin Bieber and Maria Carey, i did ask the waiter if i was at the HardRock Café or the HardGay Café they guy basically laugh and said it was to please the kids and family clientele.... what's next McDonald having strippers to please the daddy ?:dunno:

Seriously best price/quality we had was a cheap Mexican restaurant called "La Salsa Cantina" just a side of the M&M Store (up front the the New-York New-York), we had a bill of 150/160.00$ for 3 but got out pretty much drunk cause of all the Corona we had and the service was great since it was a week day the waiter spoke a lot with us, explained a shit load of stuff about Vegas, where to go, some stuff about the food.... actually best service we had in Vegas even compare some restaurant where we spend 250/300$ a head.

If you need stuff at night (soft drink, water, orange juice, etc.....) go to the depaneur near that "La Salsa Cantina" on that side of the street you will have about 15 place in line to get all the little things you need for 1/4 of the price you pay at hotel or inside the casino convenience store. Same goes for alcool, don't buy crap at the airport store where you will grab your bags the price ain't as good as they say.

Go visit the old Vegas, nothing crazy but the difference is amazing, on the week it's totally dead btw, we stayed like 60 minute not more, there was a Country concert outside which was nice but we were staying like 5 minutes per Casino just to say we saw the "old Vegas". Note: "The Plaza" at the end of the "old strip" is the hotel from Back To the Future II.

Hookers.... they are f*cking everywhere, when you are only mens they are always around you offering you good time, etc..... they snif around in hotel a lot, like 3 time when going back to my place just before the elevator girl walk with you ask if you want some good time you good looking boy and all the crap.... funny first and second time but when it's 3 time a night it's a real pain in the ***.

^ Thanks.

Leaving this Saturday. I'm looking to buy some Whisky while I'm there. Trying to Google specialty shops but can't find any. I'm specifically looking for Japanese whiskies, Hikibi 12yo and a Yamazaki 12yo. Any hints on spots?
Also, regarding transportation from the Airport to the Strip, are there any better options than a taxi or are they pretty much the most efficient option?

you have minivan shuttles that do back and forth from the airport to the major hotels on the strip it's cheap and fast

Taxi depending your hotel are between 15 to 50$. We were at Vdara and it cost us 30$.

I have an unlocked Nexus 4, any smarter options than paying 100$ with Telus for 100MB/150min/unlimited texts? I plan on using the GPS and 100MB is nothing for 7 days IMO.

Anyone ever use these guys? http://www.roammobility.com/

J'y vais en novembre pour le SEMA, je regardais un peu les infos pour le Grand Canyon, avez-vous une excursion en particulier à suggérer?
