Hey there guys. I just bought a new summer ride and the paint has smalls scratches and swirls that can be seen on the sun and a small fade on the hood ( there was a deflector before )

Truck was repaint 2 years ago if that makes a difference.

Im newb to detailing, used to only wash my car and wax them once in a while. I just bought a Porter Cable 7424xp after reading a lot of reviews.

Just wondering, what kind of products should I use???? Compound , polish and wax?? Just polish and wax enough???

And some examples of what you guys like to use for your car....Ill buy most of the stuff on Eshine.ca

Thanks!

Always start with the least aggressive if you have little experience. So Meguiar's 205 on black. If that's not enough go up to 205 on green. And so forth. When you see you're getting the correction you like, keep it at that and finish back down with milder polish/pad combo to get maximum gloss.

Look into getting 105 and 205. They will be the most verstaile products for polishing with various pads.
