So I'm about to switch to TekSavvy and just wanted to know how's the service? Reliable? Constant Speed?

Thanks

Electronic box 10mbps/1 cable for 29$ a month

it's gonna be reliable, they use Videotron for cable and bell for dsl.

I highly suggest cable for constant speed and no torrent throttleing.

Yes

First month I had drops maybe once a week and though FML... Second month and on (9th month now) everything has been epic. Then again I have unlim 8meg connection, if you go for 20 or 30 you'd probably never feel drops if there were any.

p.s. cable if you want constant speed of course

same boat here

Wanna switch from videotron to teksavvy's cable 20mbps service but I'm a little scared....I've been with videotron for 8-9 years now. Fuckers aren't very appreciative of my business so I'll have a great amount of pleasure saying bye but I wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing.

There is no contract so after a couple of months its really bad, you can always switch. I hate Videotron too and I'm currently with Bell and very haooy with the price/service but they cant match the prices from TekSavvy so I'm switching.

The only anal part is buying your own modem but they aren't that expensive.

I've been with them for about a month now, on the unlimited cable 8 package, I keep hoping for the upgrade to 10 that I had with electronicbox, but so far no luck.

Speeds are pretty constant, I get about 890KB/s down

However I have been getting disconnected almost once every day since I got it, modem doesn't act funny or anything, just all of a sudden everything jams up and I check my network connection has a yellow exclamation point on it saying I have no internet access. It comes back just as fast as it left and I haven't figured out.

Install was also kind of tedious, took about 3 weeks to finally get hooked up, but that's not entirely their fault.

At this point, if I had to recommend anybody it would probably be electronicbox, even though they are a bit more expensive.

J'ai un modem Asus neuf si t'es intéressé... Je l'avais acheté en pensant que mon TPlink avait lâché, mais c'était plutôt la pièce de Hell au CO box qui a rendu l'âme....

They're a decent value BUT :

in 6 months with them, I had 2 major downtimes.
the speed with cable is not very steady, slows to a crawl often
they're revamping the network a lot, so it affects the speed

and, what kind of kills it. A lorry took out my drop (the cable from the network to my flat). 5 technicians came by and didn't do shit. It took them OVER 3 WEEKS to get my fucking cable fixed... This is unacceptable. Here they rely on Rogers, and whenever a tech came by and didn't do shit, they throw the ball back at Rogers saying it's their techs, we can't do shit. Rogers won't even speak to you if you're with TekSavvy. So, I don't give a shit that it's a Rogers tech, I'm paying you guys and I expect YOU to escalate the issue. If you can't (which they'll tell you), then don't sell a product you cannot maintain.

So be weary, they sell data but at the first sign of trouble, it's who they're buying it from that's responsible and not them.

100% satisfait

If you already have a solid cable connection you'll have no problems at all. Myself I've had Tek for about a year and a half since I moved into my place. I have a friggin RG-59 (crap) cable from the post to my house. 3 techs visited and refused to change it, so I get random service disconnects say once a month or so (I never have slowdowns however, when it works it's always blazing). So basically if the service is stable all is well and it's a great deal, when the service gets sketchy it's a real pain to get anyone to do anything. The 'techs' from 360 whatever that Videotron sends had no idea what Teksavvy was or how I had internet via a cable blah blah...really well educated about the network they support.

I'm currently with Bell so its DSL. However the building I live in was built in 2005 so its not very old.

I've been with videotron cable since 99 at my parents and when I moved out my wife had cable too. Last year when we bought the house, I switched to electronic box. Everytime I see the statement, I laugh and say FUUUUU videotron.
