Russian = Vrod Muscle avec TAB exhaust + AEM Intake + Dyno Tuned + side plate
Me = 883 Iron matte black + V&H exhaust + screaming eagle intake + stage 1 tune + drag bars + chopped rear fender + side plate ... in a few weeks ill have spring seats

i wanted the 48 as well but it doesn't come in matte black.... (which i really wanted that)... then I wanted to do all these same mods on that bike as well + get it wrapped + the 48 has a small gas tank (the 883s tank is usually the one most 48 owners change too) and i want to do 200-250km before I gas up (the 48 would be almost every 125-150km) ... so all that brought me to the 883 as my final choice

the 883 with stage 1 should be fine... if i dont like it ill put it up for sale next summer and get the fourty eight

these bikes aren't like super sports anyways... (which I've done enough speeding on SS bikes when i was younger lol)... Now i just want to cruise at 110-120 and enjoy a nice ride ...

Yeah the 883 is my second favorite. To be honest I didn't know about the difference in fuel autonomy. With that in mind, I'd probably change mind like you did, and I already have a sportier bike so I could do without 1200cc.
