Looking for pros and cons of people that have actually owned these cars. All with automatic tranny. Other suggestions also welcome. Key features looked into: reliability, stability on the road drive quality (hence no civics, mazda3s, sentras and other tin cans).

TY!

J'irais avec une Accord.

1. Camry ...

I love the look and drive of Mazda6s but stay away from them. Very unreliable and expensive to fix. I would go for a Camry for reliability but the drive is boring as f*ck. The altima 2.5 dont have a very good rep. I dont know much about those gen accords so cant say

+03 accords are excellent daily drivers.
very reliable, not a sporty drive but not a huge boat either. and in overall, the car doesn't feel cheap, reliable and easy on gas.

dont forget to get the ex-l trim.

Accord very reliable and Comfortable.
Camry reliable comfortable but the style is ishh.
Mazda...
Nissan...

Altima. My brother has had 6 now. Just got his newest one last Tuesday. He neves has had an issue, and he is freaking picky (anal might be a better word) when it comes to his cars. (he actually had me jack a car up and check to see if everything was okay because he had an annoying "ticking" sound. After I told him that it was a rock stuck in the treads, he stood there and pulled out all the pebbles from the tires!)
*Edit* he has only ever owned the 4 cyl. models

I've owned a new 2005 mazda 6, I had no issues with the car but the person that had it after me(member of MR) had some problems with it. I really liked the way it drives...

I had a 2005 accord for a short period of time right after the mazda 6, no problems with it but I prefered the drive of the mazda 6

I had the altima as a loaner for a few days: ok car, cheap on gas but not sure of the CVT.

Right now I have a 2007 camry V6(first year of that bodystyle): reliable, good on gas and lots of power(for what it is). Everytime you say camry on MR people will tell you it's boring to drive...I don't think it's fun to drive but it's similar to any similar fwd car.

Accord le meilleur choix all around.

I'm assuming your choice of colors will be beige, tan, champagne and off-white?

Well I bought a 2006 Altima 2.5 special edition last year with 100 000kms on the clock and I like it.

It's not a rocket ship by any means but the 2.5 pulls the car confidently while managing an acceptable fuel consuption. It looks alright, feels sturdy and holds the road better than most sedans of these years. Note that the interior of the 2005-2006 is nicer than previous models Altima of the same generation.

Reliability wise, nothing happened yet besides noisy brakes that have been fixed because they were done anyway. Watch out for the 2.5 engine, I've read a lot of bad things about it and my car has a sticker on the front air duct saying that the engine has been replaced. If recalls have been done, it is a good car for the money and engine problems are less frequent on the 2005-2006 models.

It has piston slap when it's cold but goes away when the engine gets to normal operating temp. Again, common issue that has been reported with a lot of newer 4 cyl econo engines. I see newer cars that slap like crazy when they are cold so it's a bit annoying but not worrisome.

With that said and in my opinion, a Camry SE is a better looking car and might be more reliable overall, but not by much when compared to the Accord or Altima.

Legacy?

Otherwise Camry only if 2007+, Fusion, Accord, Malibu/G6 or Maxima. There's also pretty crazy deals on Saturn Auras but not sure how parts availability will be (especially body parts, mechanically it's similar to the Malibu).

Altima I don't like, Avenger/Sebring suck balls and Mazda 6 is really nice IMO but too many people report reliability problems.
