Sunroof exploded while driving

Sa m'est déjà arriver avec la fenêtre conducteur....... tu fait le saut en tabarnak quand sa t'explose dans face pis que tu t'y attend pas.....
 
Une vitre de bureau a éclatée comme ça, la détonnation est débile, tu fais tout un saut! J'imagine en conduisant.....

Il semblerait que ce soit une question de mauvais pression. Bref, tiens-nous au courant!
 
en 2012 Audi et BMW on changé de fournisseur de vitre, les 2 ont eu des problèmes et sont revenu au ancien ( les Q5 2012 avait des trouble de ce genre ) maintenant c'est regler
 
Tempered glass shatters like that in 1000000000000 pieces. It's solid but don't hit the edge or it will shatter.

Is it possible a tiny rock hit the edge of the glass?

The dealer took a picture of what remains and you can see a small CHIP in the part that's still intact that is about the size of crumb and says that's what caused it (tiny rock). I asked him if it's normal that a small chip could completely take out the sunroof and he says yes. If a rock hit the sunroof, so be it and I'll pay. 1400$ and the part is backordered 10 days.

I just find it weird that a tiny rock can completely destroy the sunroof and doubt the overall quality...

c'est n'importe quoi, ya pas un minimum qu'une vitre de char, meme le toit ouvrant doit etre capable de tolerer avant de peter en mille morceaux?

Heu, Srs?? Come'on. Print the links below, go back and ask them to give you better reasons.
 
a tiny chip when the whole glass is in 1 million pieces? That little chip that intellectual noticed could have blown out when the rest exploded, he is fishing for excuses, get the number for the regional rep and get in touch with BMW Canada. Don't pay nothing till you've gone through everybody and nobody would help you. Print out all the cases you find, print out all the repaired sunroofs by BMW you find online, arm yourself with enough info to make them uncomfortable to try and take you for an idiot. When all failed and you have to pay, still get in touch with APA and CTV news. You might get lucky

Weird because I always see rock chips on sunroof. I don't think a tiny rock chip would cause a sunroof to break. If it was true we would see this more
 
well if that's the case watch out for your windsheild because if a small rock hits that she's gonna blow! It should be made out of the same laminated glass..
 
Quand je travaillais chez Kia , un mécano changeais un moteur de wiper arrière sur un Sportage 2009 ( sous garantie ) j'étais juste derrière lui je changeais une vitre de porte sur un Rondo .

Quand ils as défait le plastique du couvert du moteur ask me why la back glass as éclater , Le vacarme de fou sa fait , il as reçu de la vitre partout dans face il étais couper a plusieurs endroits , jai reçu de la vitre dans le cou et les arrière des bras jetais plein de petites coupures lol on as ramassé de la vitre 30 pieds plus loin dans le fond du garage , assé impressionnant mais c'est vraiment dangereux . Des choses comme un sunroof qui explose en roulant c'est inacceptable voyons donc .
