Clutch on a 1.8T?

So yesterday I thought that my clutch was toast, in max boost range I would have the rpm jump to ~5k with the car ceasing to pull (slipping) and then finding grip again and dropping back to ~4k.

But then I read that signs of finished clutch on my car would be very low engagement point/hard shifting?

So what's the deal here, a pressure plate malfunction or what?

Car is stage 1+ and I did read that stock clutches do not fare that well for a long time when the cars is boosted harder.

I have an RS4 disk with bearing if you want. All you would need is ECS RA4 light weight flywheel, flywheel shim and ECS pushrod*.

*A good shop can modify your pushrod to work with that setup, it was done on mine by Rombotis.

What's your car? If its a golf/jetta/beetle, a G60 flywheel with VR6 clutch is plenty good up to about 300lb/tq.
If you have a passat/audi, I'm noy sure what you need.

The stock flywheel on a B6 is dual mass, it dampens vibrations and make shifting smoother. They don't last as long as a single mass and most people switch to single mass.
