Lacquer thinner in gas tank?

So I'm getting the p0420 code on and off for a while now. Before I order an o2 sensor or a new cat, I googled and found this:


This guys looks like he knows what he's talking about. But I don't know about putting lacquer thinner in my gas tank. I know it is bad for rubber/plastics but since its diluted with gasoline, I don't know what the impact might be.

What do you guys think?

You might as well pour snake oil through the blinker fluid filter.
