Hey guys,
Just got a speeding ticket from Austria. They were kind enough to offer me two choices; either I pay the ticket (120EUR) or go to jail for 34hrs.
Which option should I choose and why?

Jail in Austria bro

Can you imagine?

Man up, go to jail and then entertain us with stories

I would do it just for the experience, but decided against it for two reasons:
-I was told it would stay on my record
-I don't wanna waste 6hrs going back to Austria and then another 6 coming back. 34hrs in the slammer is gonna turn out to be a week off work lol

Also, if I don't pay the ticket when I fly out of CH I will probably be forced to pay on the spot.
A friend of mine wasn't allowed to fly in or out until his garbage bag fine was paid (with interest!).

So yea, ticket paid, the end.
Now you are all aware that some countries give you the option of jail time vs paying the fine. Strange because the city ends up losing money if you choose time in the slammer.

Because in certain countries, DISSUASION is still more important than TAXATION.
