broken lock nut key - need to find replacement key

got some 7-spline lock nuts on my sister's car. on the nuts it says P1/2x1.5 so I guess its an M12x1.5 thread pitch or whatever. It's 7 even spaced rounded splines.

The key doesn't have any part number on i and it's all fucked up. Can I bring the lock nut to somewhere and they can maybe find a lock key that would be compatible? got any suggestions/recommendations?
 
Try calling places like FCP....I remember I had the same issue back when I had my integra, I ended up drilling the entire bolt right off since I had no other solution lol
 
A lot of those lock nut keys are the same, so you can try different keys. You can also buy a socket that'll take that right off

Well shit, there's 12 of those lock nuts on the car, I don't want to air chisel all of them off.
 
This with a hammer and breaker bar and you're good.

are you sure they are lock nuts and not just "tuner" nuts?

the way you describe with evenly spaced splines, they surely look like regular nuts. Plus, if you actually have 12 lock nuts, I doubt all 3 sets would have the same spline pattern.. to be a lock nut you need a spline pattern!!
