Need info on modded 996 porsche

I think you mean you like the GT2 look.
The 996TT are pretty low in price now, considering you can find a nicely modded example for around $50k.
I really like this one with the GT2 look.

My bad that's exactly what I meant although id never buy one that was modded.
I'd rather take a vigin and break her in myself

I've been checking lots of forums and the general consensus is that the car can take the extra hp in it quite well.
It pretty much comes down to good maintenance and getting your hands on one that hasn't been overly abused.

I'm gonna look into it some more and then make a decision.

Thank you all very much for the additional info boys.

Good luck. And seriously consider buying a modded one since you will pay 10cents on the dollars. You don't have to worry about cheap mods, ricers beating them ect... Anyone who mods a 200k car usually has money!
And ya stock engine is good for around 600whp... IMO why do you need more then 500HP?? Our roads are not that nice to be doing 340KPH runs anyways...Most of the time you are just avoiding potholes!

just be careful, and think about what happens if you blow an engine, ever looked up the cost of a replacement?

friend of mine blow his 996TT, He had 600WHP, Dealer wanted 40K for a new engine installed...

finally, engine wan't blown at all, dealer just wanted to rape his ass.

My GF mother bought a 911 Turbo S 2005 new back in the days. It was more reliable then her Ml63 AMG and Cayenne Turbo S. Regular maintenance is the key !!

I liked my TT a lot and modified it to be a great track car and then realized I had no time to track it and now I had a not so great street car LOL

Very reliable.. I had modified just about everything, engine, brakes, suspension, etc.

I picked up a 2010 997C2S cabriolet with PDK and it's a lot better as a daily driver but double the price easily. With almost 400hp stock it's perfect.

But man the TT power was addicting!

If you have any questions let me know.. Wetune did all my mods

They are very reliable, i track mine and there is nothing that demands more than tracking. Keep in mind they get older and will require more maintenance but they are nothing compared to what other equivalent luxury car would cost. Even moded they are very reliable.

If you intend on modifying it, don't pay premium price for a X50 because you will change the turbos and intercoolers anyway which is what cost more on these car. If you don't work on the car yourself, dealer is VERY expensive, when i do a big job on mine, it cost at least 10 times less than what the dealer would have charged me. Wetune is good if you can't wrench yourself. Plenty of support on the internet also on 6speedonline and rennlist.

My friend is selling is 700hp 996 tt if you want one already moded and moded right for cheap.

i want a turbo porsche!

i want a 993 so bad but with my budget 996 seems more and more reasonable, time to stop investing in holmes and more into cars lol
