The dirty whore car

This car has probably changed hands about three times in about a year and a half. But it has fallen into the right one this time around.
Bought the car off a kid who bought it off a friend who needed cash. Turns out it's Ash's car that he was selling in 2011, with slight changes.

Car no longer has a roll cage.
Mags painted black
Car came with no tinted windows, but in Ash's picture the car had tinted windows...Don't know what happened in the middle of that.
Car has an interior somewhat. No more Recaro Trophies, now has Original Gti seats front and back as well as door cards
Car needs more work.

Until you take a look under the dash, Dash light harness was toast, same for the cluster (cluster flasher will both light up when i choose either left or right flasher), Heater matrix box is not even there. No headliner, no plastic inside to protect doors from rain. Also door cards are for manual mirrors when mine are power....going to have to change those too!





Now I bought all kinds of stuff to get her back up to a clean daily drivable car, rear bench didn't even have seat belts, but that will soon be rectified.



I'm hoping to make this car what it should be, a great looking car, but also one where when you get inside, everything works the way it should.

Pretty solid indeed, looks like the paint is bubbling in certain common problem areas.

Just needs cluster, heater matrix box, headliner to be mint. Everything else is done on the car. Maybe get rid of the cheap spray painted smoke lights all around, some duostyling gauges and call it a day.

When I bought my GC, It was like that, it needed sooo much work. But everyday, when I get in it and drive to work, I'm happy to see it run the way it does.

Pre-winter inspection, and look what we have, another big to do list.

Thank god I'm not driving this car in the winter. I would, just to punish the car, but it would probably blow up in my face, karma is a bitch.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. I'm trying to go for a great clean euro look. Will touch up a few more things before she sleeps for winter.

Thanks, I can't even get started on that because I'm still missing the headliner. Waiting on that to get the ball rolling.

But more stuff is popping up that I'm able to fix this year. Will have to put her away broken and figure out an action plan to get it all done by end of spring of next year.

Update. Winter Mode. Removed the spacers in the back because they were super annoying to hear scraping every little bump I went over.

Recent upgrades have been a Bilstein Sport/Neuspeed Sport Combo to relieve the tired Koni Yellow's

And prepping her for sale. She's a great impulse buy. WOT this car will make pedestrians run away dumbfounded and scared.

Mirin' this little beast! Have been for a while... What work still needs to be done? Is the oil pan leak fixed? Any electrical gremlins to sort out? Feelin' that impulse somewhat...

when i had it it was a little monster and the sound was amazing

i sold it to buy a bike and the bike got stole 5-6 month later... should of never sold it

Honestly the electrical has been sorted out, The cluster is my problem, it either will only illuminate the two small lcd screens for mileage and time, or it will light up everything in the cluster meaning indicator and high beam lights in the cluster will remain on all the time, as well as all other stuff in the cluster would be fully lit. New fusebox and dash harness went in right after purchase. Back up lights don't light up.

Oil pan issues, the pan is dented but not where the pickup tube is. I could not find oil drips but the seams are sweating.

Needs to be done:

2 front wheel bearings
Rear seat belts need to be adjusted for slack
Heating box down low behind the dash needs replacing if you want the vents to work (defrost only w/ every speed)
Sunroof adjustment (worked the first few weeks like a charm, then out of sync. Found out when I went through the car wash...
Front tints have to be removed because scratched in some spots.
Radiator has started to leak at the top

The bearings and rad I'd change if asking price of 5500 was met, and you get everything that I bought for the car, winters with bbs bottlecaps/summers on passat rims, the old suspension, electric and manual mirrors.

Tried to appeal to a bigger target market by putting back most of the interior, stripped out really narrows it down.

**Spring Update**

1 Bearing + Hub ---- Was starting to wobble....Fixed
Sunroof Adjustment done....NO LEAKS!
Radio Installed + 8 speakers for Mids/highs, just needs a sub
Interior....Scrubbed and cleaned because it was dirty as fuuuuuuu

Bottlecaps with winters are off, Passat black stuff rims are on

Went to Julep, saw some Mk2 Jettas, saw a mk1 caddy, mostly diesels but one vr6 that sounded very nice indeed.

Some shots of my cleaned up interior, more things will be added if time permits.
