MR Elite & Veteran Ride

Come on, Danny, life isn't fair.

If you're not
a) an old school/active member

OR

b) driving a cool car

you can't come. That's how it should be otherwise it's going to be an UltraRide with a bunch of POS causing a ruckus at Tremblant

At least an active/OG member so randoms don't show up and make things awkward

Hi guys,

I've got good news. I think we could still do Tremblant if we keep the meet exclusive to MR and at about 100 vehicles. I'll be honest: My main goal was to have the biggest ride possible in order to get the MR sticker on as many vehicles as possible. This is the kind of meet Tremblant wouldn't support because they (rightly so) think people would litter too much and rip the place up. So I called them back and proposed the MR Elite & Veteran Ride concept and I think they will go for it. I will know by Sat. I'll just organize a free-for-all ride later in the summer and try to get a track rental somewhere else.

So for this ride, we will only advertise in on MR. This way, only active members will become aware of it. We'll keep this thread and I'll make a new one in General with all the details and ask people to put their names. I won't do a facebook event because I think it could get out of hand. We'll just take names down in the General thread. I'll wait until final confirmation from Circuit Mont Tremblant before moving ahead. The date will be May 18th and the starting point will still be Autodrome St-Eustache.

Sound good? Everyone gets a free MR sticker.

As I said before I don't think it's fair to restrict it depending on vehicle make/model but we should get the desired results by only advertising it here. We'll keep this thread and I'll make a new one in General with all the details and ask people to put their names. I won't do a facebook event because I think it could get out of hand. Count me in

Sounds like a good idea. But do you really think that even if you do only advertise on MR, that the word won't get out.
From my experience the only way to have any type of "control" over something like this is by doing it through some kind of PM, or email list. - Public forum is a public forum.... just sayin'

Btw wouldn't a 2 week notice be more suitable so people can prepare their cars and if they have to take a day off or wtv?

Only a small chance for the car being ready in May...

Can't be there on the 18th,

Could show up with someone on the 19th... Romango, you need a co-pilot?

no homo.

Still a 50/50 chance that I can't show up if the event is reported later in May or June (work related)

I've already booked May 18 for the Autodrome and also May 18th is when the members are lapping at Circuit Mont Tremblant. It will make for a great event to watch while we BBQ!

didn't read anything. Am I cool enough? or should I acquire more swag?
