Just ordered a new screen for my iphone 4 to replace the broken one, my order was placed on April 25, and still havent received the item today..

I have contacted the seller who seems to be a Paki or something, very kind and good communication, he shipped a second screen and was feeling bad that the postal service didnt deliver the item in time and stuff.. and he sent the second screen last monday... guess what still havent received a fuckin thing.. im so fucking disappointed lately with ebay and electronic stuff..

item location is in Ontario just across the border, cant believe it take more than 7 days with normal postal service to received something from there.. seriously..

and 1 month ago, ordered a car charger for my phone, received it, and it was completely cheap stuff and even not charging my fuckin phone.. had to open a case with ebay to get a refund..

what your bad experience with ebay? tips with thoses situations?

Thanks

eBay c'est hit and miss.

Apart ça zéro problème, on s'entend que ebay est jamais mon premier réflexe but "when you can go cheap" je vais sur ebay.

Tracking numbers.
This! If the seller is in Ontario and shipping via CanadaPost, he'll get a tracking number, so ask for it. Sometimes however, the seller is listed as some North American location, but in reality the item may be shipping from some warehouse in India or China.

Either way, personally, do your research, but for me, I've been using eBay for years, over 300 transactions, and haven't really had a bad one yet. Couple of "questionable" ones were fully refunded via a Paypal claim.

The problem is not with ebay but with the sellers shipping or post office in the area.

I find that the ebay seller rating is pretty reliable and have never had a problem in years of buying all kinds of things. But I guess you can get unlucky sometimes.

Paypal is so weighted towards the buyer, that there's almost no risk.

It's happened where I buy things, such as a computer charger. If it's too cheap looking and doesn't work 100%, a quick email to the seller and they instantly reimburse you. If not, Paypal always accepts reasonable claims from the buyer.

The sellers are so paranoid about the feedback, there's nothing to lose. That's also the drawback, I used to sell some items on Ebay, I lost money on many things because of claims from the buyers. Ultimately I gave it up because it was too much shit for marginal profits.

Op, if I were you, wait a couple more days then get a refund. As a bonus, you'll probably receive two iPhone screens in a few weeks! Canada Post is useless sometimes, things sit in the bonded warehouses for days/weeks.

Only prob I had is when I purchased an Old GameBoy Cartridge. The memory battery was dead and as soon as I contacted the seller to tell him so, he refunded me like 2$ to cover the price of a new battery hahaha. I didn't even ask him to...

Other than that, always been satisfied with approx. 150-200 transactions.

Oh and don't give him a bad score just because CanadaPost can't do their job well. Just ask for a tracking number. It happens often that my packages sit at some depot for like 3-4 days and I have to call just to get it move... They really suck.

Good experience on my end (rating of ~70 items @ 100%). Local items take about a week and the rest take like a month,

I've had the same experience...
Bought a 20$ phone digitier from china.
Seller took his time to ship it. Never received it. Waited 4 weeks before to contact him to give him some chance...
After 4 weeks I've use the "Contact seller" option then checked the "Item not received" from the list of type of questions.
We both agreed to wait 1 extra week week and if still not received he'll ship a 2nd one.
Waited 1 week, nothing.
Wrote him back, he sent another one.
Waited another few weeks... Still nothing.
Wrote him back, no answer.
Checked on ebay ; my item disappeared from my history !!!
Checked on Paypal; same thing !!
No way I could contact seller again regarding that sale
No way I could open a ticket in Paypal to get my money back, paypal protection stops after 45 days and it's been 4 months since the transaction.
I'm stuck and lost my money, and no way I could even leave feedback.

BEWARE... Always file a complaint and leave negative feedback before 45 days.

that the buyer's profile

and always shop online, never got bad transaction, it just the last month that seem to give me some hard time, with that iphone charger who doesn't work quite well, and thoses screens sent to me by that seller..

The seller have replied that he sent the package thrue lettermail instead of package mail, so that why it a bit longer, but for him it cheaper.. would have prefer to have it thrue some package mail tho instead of waiting 1 month..

Sur mes 60 achats :

Bad :
