Video Dave Briggs Formula Drift Atlanta recap video... god that SR sounds amazing.

nice ! the inside views are nice !

I dont know much about drifting but:

Can you run any chassis / engine combinaison ?

Why run a 4 cylinder as opposed to a V8 in this case ?

Why choose an older chassis like the 240sx as opposed to a modern chassis, like a BMW for example. In the end it's probably not much more expensive buying a recent (stronger, stiffer) BMW shell than finding and building an older, high mileage, car ?

Awesome video !

Yes you can. Alot of people are going V8 because its "affordable" reliable and they have a great power band. But Dave prefer turbo engines, it's really a different style of drifting. You really fight with the car instead of just with the throttle. So he patterned up with Mazworks to build a crazy SR20 (700 whp, 640 wtq). It's more powerful then a lot of v8 out there. Way enough to keep up with the big boys.

Also parts for s-chassis are much easier to find here in America then a BMW (Which is not the case in Europe per exemple, where BMW are the most popular platform)

But a lot of pro's with budget will run new chassis. FRS/BRZ, 350z/370z, new mustangs/camaros etc.

Thanks!
