Jacques Villeneuve...

Why would any multi millionaire wanna live in Quebec ??
Good for him to leave and enjoy life.

Because being a millionaire in Quebec would be amazing.

Apartments are cheap, amazing food is cheap, women are gorgeous, clubs are relatively cheap, you could have a sweet cottage on a lake not even 45 minutes away from the city. You could be a superstar in this city, but with the same money in Toronto, you'd be lumped in with 100 brown guys who own corner stores.

If you had the same money in Toronto, your apartment would suck in comparison, your cottage would be 4 hours away on a good day and you'd spend every penny trying to get ugly women.

Apartment? Cottage? Lol do you realize what you can do with 1M? The lifestyle you described can be had on a 60K the year salary.

Everything is cheap when ur a multi millionaire
And honestly who said Toronto is better ?
Well it slightly is but it's still shit.

I'm talking Europe , Caribbean islands , Florida etc

Also lol@apartments being cheap. I doubt millionaires base the decision on where they wanna live due to how cheap an "apartment " is.

I'm pretty sure they go for houses brah but thanks for ur opinion nonetheless.

Clearly you have never travelled outside of Quebec and Montreal by the way you speak...I will give you the girls, they are gorgeous in Montreal...

Comparisons are meaningless...

JV was never a Quebecer and he doesn't care about being one, he grew up in Montecarlo with the European mentality. He lived in Japan prior to coming to N.A., he is in a position to speak.

I was born and raised in Montreal and lived there for 32 years until 3 years ago I decided to move out of the province. I loved the city, the people, and culture but what finally got to me was the powers to be's persistence to hold Quebec back in the name of culture. I get the idea of preserving culture but there's a limit.

Cost of living is lower in Montreal cause salaries are lower. Economies of scale my friends not its cause a "great town". Bigger business, fatter salaries, larger population and you've got upward pressure on prices.

Nightlife? Awesome in Montreal but the our clubs are better than everyone else? Give it a rest. A deciding factor of where I'm going to live is not cause DJ so and so plays at such and such club. That doesn't pay my bills.

If ppl on the boards criticize Montreal, people come out of the woodworks and tell them to gtfo? Guess what? They'll leave with their money, businesses, and knowledge and make another place better.

Quebec needs to stop living in the past and start asking itself how can I utilize my bilingual talent to the fullest. How can I take advantage of all cultures living in this province and promote international business to invest here. Stop reminiscing of the 60s boom of MTL and focus on creating a new one!

There are things in my new hometown which I don't like but that comes with every city. But one thing is for sure, the level of success I've achieved in a short amount of time since I've left would have either not happened or taken double the time in Mtl . So I will gladly pay the higher insurance premiums but I'm a hell of a lot happier to be paying less income and property taxes!

I meant you could get a baller condo penthouse downtown for a shit ton cheaper than any other major north american city.

Ahh yes the 4 hours drive to Lake Simcoe! However I do know for a fact that on Friday's it will take about 3 hours to drive up to Tremblant...

Bravo,
Of course he left Quebec, what a fucking shit hole honestly, i don't even understand how there's people still living there.
Welcome to a city which infrastructure is falling apart, where there's no money to be made and where a lot of the people
have the mentality of a fucking SS nazi, give me a break, living in canada for generations and not being able to speak english?
WTF!!!! I lived there for 7 years and learnt both english and french, why? cause I had the chance to! why the fuck wouldn't you take
such a opportunity ??
Left nearly two years ago and hopefully never coming back,
BRB live in canada but decides not learn english so he can stay in a piece of shit province for ever
BRB 6 months of winter and shitty summer
BRB have a nice car but cannot drive it due to the state of the roads
