What most people seem to don't get (And I was thinking the same way when I was younger) is you don't buy a Lambo, ferrari etc because you want something fast cause with 1/3 of the price of a lambo I can turn an evo, civic mustang into a lambo killer...
When you buy these car, you buy an heritage, social status, a perfectly HAND CRAFTED car with top quality parts, years of R&D and tech coming from X amount of racing years(mostly ferrari), you buy a name etc not just a fast good looking car. Also you're exclusive.
While when you buy a bike, you buy 500lbs of super fast steel... Anybody can walk into a yamaha store and buy a bike... Now don't get me wrong I'm not shitting on bike! In fact I'ts my dream to own one and the only reason I don't have one yet is the fact that I think I'm not mature enough to own such monster. You juste can't compare Tuner cars, exotics and bike together they all have their class.
As for how much hp it take a car to do a bike with a driver that know what he's doing, under 1000whp i woulnd' t even consider trying it. Younger I didn't feally know about bike then some friends bought bike.... One day, I was driving my dad's supercharged s2000 (340whp) and I had a pull with a gsxr750 from 80ish to 200 a was a bit in front of him then he passed by.... Told that to my friends and my friend just said I don't want to burst your bubble but the guy had no idea how to drive he probably stayed in his gear and just floored it that's why he stayed with you until he reached his gear powerband.... That was making sens then he said on a bike at 80 I would start a pull in 1st maybe 2nd but most guy don't go that low on highway and showed me an exemple and that's when I understand that nothing under 1000whp+ cars can kill a bike with a good rider.
I saw one car completely killing a bike in the street on a X lenght on a video and it was like a 1500whp supra runing a racing trans, race gas and 59pounds of boost... Ill try to find it
