Another lovely video brought to you by Drive, with Matt Farah flying over to UK to meet up with Chris Harris.

Matt showed up in the UK to bother Chris, and over pints, got into a discussion about the "ideal" amount of tuning for a daily driver, as well as whether we'd rather have a fast sleeper Audi or a slow 2013 Porsche Cayman. Agree with us?

All I can do now, especially after watching this video and the previous Tuned S4 vs RS4 video, is try as much as I can not to flash my S4.

I added a poll for the record to see what would MR prefer, money aside; a tuned S4 or a base Cayman. As I personally need four doors (not for more whores, but for the baby girl), the S4 is a no-brainer to me.

415 hp ca doit etre juste un reflash. J'avais un reflash APR sur la mienne au banc APR, MTM , GIAC sortait tous autour de 430hp normalisé au moteur. REVO sortait plus mais en jouant avec le timimg. Rajoute 20whp fini avec les poulies

Les seules modifications sur la S4 de Chris Harris sont un flash Revo, un BBK Stasis et des swaybars.


Rickson, comment se comportait ta S4 avec le flash? La différence est-elle si énorme autre que pour le gain de HP?

Ma S4 est encore garantie pour trois ans, mais j'me demande si je vais être capable de me retenir de la flasher...
 
C'est certain que pour une auto de tout les jours la S4 serait mon choix, en fait j'aurais de la difficulté à faire un choix S4 vs 335 dans cette gamme de prix.

If I am honest, you are flashing an NA engine. Eventhough I have never driven one, I can tell you that it will not make such an important difference vs flashing a car with forced induction. I choose warranty :)

Bro the S4 is a supercharged V6...it's not N/A

I'd definitely take the S4 over the cayman but I'm probably a little biased because I had an Audi before and I was soooo close to signing for an S4 right before I bought my current car.

The S4 just flat out owns the cayman( alot of cars do )
I would never take the wagon model though. I just can't stand the look of them.
 
Fast Q-car over slow sports car anyday of the week... J'aimerais mieux me promener dans qqch de discret et rapide que de me retrouver a etre challengé par tlm dans une auto qui flash et etre obligé de dire non pcq je sais que je vais perdre...

I did watch the video. I just misread and thought you had a b7. No need to be a dick :)
 
Would rock that wagon all day every day. If I had money for a daily, and was buying a toy, I'd stick with the Cayman.
 
Those who say S4 > Cayman clearly have never driven the latter, heck I'd say they haven't driven any of them.

Not sayin' the S4 is more fun... I've driven a B7 S4 & a '05 Boxster S, and I'll be the 1st to admit the handling & overall feel ot the Boxster is a godly experience all the time, whereas the S4 is great in straight line V8 pulls & quite meh in the corners... I just prefer Q-cars for what they are... To each his/her own...
