Auto usage - Garantie prolonge, yay or nay? MR HELP

+
Demarreur a distance inclus.

----------
Long story short, should I get an extended warranty with Industrielle Alliance that is bumper to bumper for 3 years/60k km, including suspension parts + roadside assistance with unlimited towing and remote start included for 2160 taxes and interest included, no claim limit?

Big drawback is that there is a 200$ franchise with each claim.

ANyone have experience with Industrielle Alliance?

Ask him for 0$ deductible and get the warranty, worth it imo , on top of that he's throwing in a remote starter ?

Do it . I woudn't buy it with the 200$ tho.

There is no 0 deductible option. Only 100, 200 or 300. The initial offer was engine/tranny 4 years/80 000 km for 4970$ (82$/month added to the monthly payment), 300 deductible, and he would give the remote start for free. That seemed stupid high to me.

Slowly we got to the price above cuz if I'd get a warranty it would be bumper to bumper, but he said he can't go any lower. With 100$ deductible it's 395$ more (with tax and interest).

Yeah, I want a remote start and roadside assistance anyway so yeah in reality I would spent 700(estimate on remote start+3 years CAA) on those somewhere else anyway so the actual cost of the warranty for me is 2160-700 = 1460

The franchise seems expensive and you can't recall if the suspension parts are included. Don't bother with that.

some suspension parts are included but I can't recall which ones. He read me the list. I know I asked him specifically for tables as they're pricey and dealer only on that gen legacy

You want to see it with your eyes! Not what he READ or SAID ! Ask for the contract to take it home and to read it before you buy it!

Problem is the car is in drummondville, I can't go back and forth a lot for these things :(

Normally that's what I'd do though.

Just ask him to fax or email a scanned copy of your would be contract. For $395 extra I would definitely get the 100 deductible option and I bet that you can even talk him down on that as well, like telling him you will take the warranty if he does the $100 deductible for an extra 2-300$. You have to remember that the average markup on extended warranties is 50% of list price meaning that if the warranty is listed at 3000 his cost is probably between 1400-1700$ depending on the warranty provider, they have plenty of room to move down and at the end of the day I bet you he would rather make commission on 800$ profit than no commission at all. Wait till the end of the month to negotiate too, often they have profit targets to attain in order to get their bonus and if they're just a bit off they will do anything to hit their target and get their bonus.

would it cover towing to Drummondville? Read over the contract a few times and make sure you understand every part.
If you decide to get the warranty, make sure you save maintenance receipts because when something breaks, they'll be asking for them.

I asked about where the car has to be fixed using this warranty and he said that given it's with Industrielle Alliance and not with the dealership, it can be fixed anywhere and then I just make the claim with the insurance co, because yeah, I wouldn't want to go to the dealership in Drummondville for every little thing. It's a Nissan dealer btw.

I'\ll call them tomorrow (they're open) and ask for them to email me a copy of the contract.

2009 with 106K is not old enough to have too many problems to make that extended warranty cost worth it. See if you can get free CAA through your insurance if you want that so bad and just use the heated seats during winter like I do. :D

200 deductible ?? Common man that's ridiculous!

Definitely not worth the price especially for a car like a legacy that really shouldn't cost u much in repairs anyway.
