You should because this entices other good players to want to come and play for us when they see that they will be playing with good players that can increases their chances of winning the stanley cup

Totally understand your point but the truth is that big name players won't wanna come here for all the obvious reasons.
Subban winning this trophy puts him completely in the drivers seat when it comes time to renew his contract next year and he will have no problem earning that 5 mill +.

Seems like everyone who gets a big contract ends up flopping in this city.

We need to forget about dishing big money and trying to sign big name free agents and simply keep players like galchenyuk, Gallagher etc. These are the type of players that win championships and set good examples for te next crop of drafted young players to follow.

Guys like subban , price are too expensive to keep around considering their cocky and immature ways.
