What trends would you like to see or trends you'd like to end this summer?

Expensive rim with chinese tires, pas certain que ça soit un trend mais je vais t'avouer que ça fait pitié comme raisonnement.

Egocentrism
Egocentrism is characterized by preoccupation with one's own internal world. Egocentrics regard themselves and their own opinions or interests as being the most important or valid. Self-relevant information is seen to be more important in shaping one’s judgments than do thoughts about others and other-relevant information.[1] Egocentric people are unable to fully understand or to cope with other people's opinions and the fact that reality can be different from what they are ready to accept.

These people need to pipe down.

I'd like to see car companies spend time actually designing EVERY car in their lineup instead of coming out with one design and deflating/inflating it to create their models.

It's boring and when I see a Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Lexus and many others, I'm like is this a 3 series or a 5 series? Is this an A4 or A6? Is this a Jetta or Passat?

They all look the same, it's bland and disappointing when you're looking forward to see a car being unveiled and it ends up being just a bigger version of the car they unveiled 6 months ago with some "distinctive trim".

That's bullshit. I know in the 60's they did the same thing, an example would be the Chevy full size lineup (Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala, Caprice) but it's not an excuse.

Get off your lazy asses and start being creative. You are designers so get your pencils out and start drawing cars for real.

Bitches.

pourtant c'est tres facile de différencier une M3 d'une serie 3 (323/325/328)... cest la meme chose pour une RS4 versus une A4/S4 etc !!!

^ it used to be, now there`s almost no difference between base,S and RS models, except trims, wheels and drivetrain obviously. But this is how they make more profit, full lineup use the same fenders and panels...

Things I want to disappear:
hella horns are hella gay.
volkswagens
excessive camber
people who use chrome on newer cars
HID's
LED (Reverse lights and light strips)
rust hoods (pretty much dead anyway)
sticker bomb (really!? was this ever nice?)
colored rims
bad color matching

Things I want to see:
More muscle cars properly built
More RWD
More old cars in general

I have more, but don't care anymore

I agree with more old + vintage cars being brought back to life. But whats wrong volkswagens lol?

Volkswagen forgot how to build their cars properly in the early 90's and has been failing ever since. Kind of like Honda and the turn of the century.

less base model golf and jetta guys driving around like their cars are some VIP superlux shit. your cars aren't Bentleys, they're 15k econoboxes that have slightly better interiors and slightly worse reliability than japanese econoboxes.

not hating on VWs, but VW guys need to be realistic: realize they're not luxury cars, like 10 years ago how honda guys needed to realize they don't drive race cars.

Less volkswagen jetta starting at 15k, driving them like audi's pleaseeeeeee. They look a like but they are NOT audi's!!!

This /\

ugly dangerous stretched tires

pi les fart-cans, mais ça, sa fait 10 ans que c'Est la et que c'est pas parti

They just don't make anything RWD or very fast and never did anything very impressive. All volks are "Low and Slow" and that's all they have going for them.

Everything that I dislike has pretty much already been summed up in this thread.

That being said, what I'd like to see less of is the hostility in the car scene. It seems that it's become a competition, either between meets or car owners themselves; everybody wants to make a statement, be popular, and have their car/meet/photo page known, to the point where people are going to meets not to meet other people, but to get pictures taken of their ride. I can't count the times I've been to a meet and spoken with somebody, only to be asked what I drive and then have said person not bother talking to me anymore because it didn't correspond with the image or scene they so desperately wanted to be part of.

Everybody shits on everybody else for either not having the same budget as them, not being low enough, not being stanced enough, etc...

People need to chill the fuck out and do their own thing. Stop craving attention and mod your car for yourself! Don't spend 5k on a wheel and suspension setup just because you want to fit in and don't spend 10k on a motor build because you want to be noticed. Mod your car based on YOUR wants and needs, and go to meets to MEET other people, not compete. Everybody gets along, and everybody's happy.

More meets filled with TRUE car enthusiasts meeting each other and talking cars, and less douchebags looking to be popular!

X2

It seems as if the car scene has been divided into sub groups and you're right too many people trying to compete instead of getting together as enthusiasts
