Ken Imhoff, a sports car connoisseur, always dreamt of one day owning his very own Lamborghini Countach. Instead of saving up all the money in the world to purchase an original, this genius decided to take matters into his own hands (literally) and build one from scratch without the help of the Italian luxury automaker. It took him 17 years to build the replica in his basement.

Check out the photo timeline below to see Ken Imhoff build his own Lamborghini Countach from start to finish. Oh, not to mention, this guy plowed a hole through the bottom of his house just to get the car out when he was done building it.
