The ''I'm quitting smoking, for real this time'' thread

Any recommendations for good e-cigs? I bought a set a while ago but the vapor is really minimal, a lot of inhaling for very little smoke.

I bought an amazing one a month ago, V3 Ego. They sell them at a shop on St-Denis between Maisonneuve and Ontario, its called Vapourous. The starter kit is $80, and the shop makes their own flavoured oil. $20 of oil lasts me almost a month.. I still have the odd cig here and there, I know when winter comes I'm done. For the mean time, I like smoking this thing..

This one, you can blow smoke like you're smoking shisha its nuts.

Ego's kit are the best for starters. My mother quit after 35 years of smoking using that. Vaporous have another ego kit for 15$ more, with mini nova atomizer on them, It really worth the difference in price.

I checked out their site, lots of V3s and eGo kits and stuff around, confusing with the sub names too, mind pointing me to the model you bought? The shisha thing sold me lol.

go to the Vapourous shop downtown ask for the v3 Ego starter kit, and get the model with the voltage adjustor battery. When you crank the voltage it creates much more vapour and its thicker, burns your throat more.. you can adjust it to your liking.

i bought the ego spinner battery kit, with the variable voltage and 2 large tanks, 105$ i think it was, plus 2 bottles of juices (have some older juices so i didnt need much). It'll pay itself off in a week compared to cigarettes.

j'en ai une couple de kit ego qui traine.. sont neuf, je les vends 70$...full equip, +5$ livraison. kit complet de qualité et pour pas chère. M'en reste pas gros par exemple..

Seeing there are a few people including myself who wish to stop, maybe we should keep updates in this thread to see how we progress. It might motivate us even more. My goal was to start at the end of this week.

I read a book called "Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking" 2,3 years ago and it's really a great book. The book really is about changing your mindset about smoking. It's not your usual book about useless tricks that you've heard hundreds of times before. It might sound stupid, but after reading this book, it was the first time i was as motivated as i was and i lasted longer than any other times i had tried to stop. And it was cold turkey.

This book has the best trick, well it's not really a trick, but it shows you a whole new way of looking at the situation which makes it way easier for you to stop. While you read it, you realise it talks about things so simple about your way of thinking but that no one ever applies when they stop smoking. It's not some bullshit advices written by someone who has never even smoked. I strongly recommend it. I'll try to re-read it this week.

You can download a pdf version on google like i did. The book can be repetitive at times if i remember well, but it's a great read overall and it isn't very long.

I had one today when I woke up and I'm holding out till maybe after dinner for my second.
I'm shooting for 3-4 max total in the day.
I'm really trying hard to quit this disgusting habit.

I find it hard to stop this way since you're always suffering till the next cigarette. I rather stop completely. You suffer a bit more the first few days but it's going to be way easier after a couple of days. If you smoke 3,4 cigarettes a day, you're just giving nicotine back to your body which will make you want to smoke another one in a couple hours. It's basically like quitting-stopping-quitting-stopping. You have to get rid of the nicotine completely so that your body gets used to not having to get his dose of nicotine.

Trust me, it really is the best way. At least it's how i think of it since i read that book.

It's after a meal and sex that I reaaaally crave one fck.

Anyway I'm gonna smoke one right now and quit cold turkey tmr.
Gonna go stock up on some junk food , vapor smokes, and gum.

Can u guys do me a favour though???

If u see me at a meet or something and I'm smoking , I want u guys to go and buy the thickest and most freshest fish and smack me in the face with it. Like a really good one where my cheek will literally be wet with salt water.
My first instinct will be to stab u with a screwdriver so quickly remind me of this post and I'm sure ill end up calming down and thanking u.

Ill gladly reimburse u for the $ u spent on the trout or whatever as well as a little extra for the inconvenience provided that u have a receipt.

its been 24 hours since my last smoke. I started first with the nicorette lozanges, which did nothing to cut the craving, im sure they will help down the road when i do get the occasional craving, but for the first few days\week, they dont do anything for me. Thats the reason i ran out to get an ecig, my wife deserves a rational loving husband, not the hair trigger rage maniac i was this morning :p. Man it feels great to rub my eyes and to not have them burn from the cigarette residue on my fingers.
