URGENT PASSEPORT needed, anyone ever did it ?

To make a long story short, i'm flying out on June 21st (Friday) at 7Am off Montreal.

My renewal was slow so I called last Friday and we did put my passport into the "Express (+30$)" services (2 to 9 working days on their site).

I still have no passport, I called yesterday and this morning since I MUST have my passport by Thursday and the Passport Canada agents keep
saying they cannot do anything, Passport Montreal will call me when it's ready.
But on their site it says u can have ure passeport in 24 hrs for 70$, the agent said i cannot decide to put
in "urgent mode" it's passport Montreal that decides.

I'm a bit stressed here since i'm leaving in two days, no passport and my whole family is coming with me, i'd have to cancel all the tickets if i dont have it.

Ive heard people say u can go to Passeport Canada Montréal and ask for it to print it out right away and u leave with it, is it true ? (I'm not in Montreal thats why i didnt try before)
 
We did it for my gf, she got her passport in 2 days, we showed them the airline tickets and said it was a family emergency.
 
i'm in sherbrooke right now, so they asked me to email them my tickets wich they got with my credit card infos.

thats what i did last thursday.
 
when it's urgent, you get the 24h or 48h turnaround and go directly there.

that's what I did last time.. "pas l'temps d'niaiser"
 
yeah the agent explained it to me.

Mine cannot be put in URGENT mode because we changed the status to EXPRESS last Thursday.

How express works :

They put it in express mode if you make a rush on ure passeport 2 days + before leaving, that was my case.
So then it's by days, if ure leaving on Thursday, it will be ready on Wednesday if u leave Friday, u get it Thursday , etc.

URGENT ones is if u decide to rush ure passport 2 days and less before departure (not my case, i rushed it last Thursday).

I asked to pay 70$ and have it put into URGENT mode the clerk said no need to, thats not how it works, ure in express (30$ fees) and u should get it thursday since im leaving Friday.
 
only yourself to blame. its not hard to renew a god damn passport. takes 5 minutes to fill out a form and 15 minutes to go and take a picture. should do it 6 months before your passport expires than no more problem.
 
My exwife lost her passport the night before the flight, thankfully a quick visit to some high people in the relevant consulate and we had the passport ready that same night. Doesnt help your cause.... just wanted to mention that story :p.
 
I did it earlier this year, no need to provide an excuse (ymmv?). Just drop in and pay the fee, passport the next day.
 
My cousin had one done on the spot on December 25th, he only had to wait for the clerk to show up after getting the call and pay for it ($$$).
 
The bureau in Laval does the next day passport. You're going to pay double but its all worth in your case..
 
Passeport Canada, st-martin laval. Go tomorrow asap, you will have it on the 21st printed.

I've done it before, 2 days before leaving for Punta Cana.
 
V'la 2 ans. Moi et ma blonde on a été a Laval pour nos passeports le mercredi en début pm, et le vendredi matin c'était pret. On décollait pour Cuba le samedi matin.
 
L'été passé, au bureau de Laval, ils me l'ont fait en 25 minutes !!! J'en revenais meme pas !!!!

Ca a couté un peu plus , mais le divorce aurait couté plus cher ;)
 
Ya i got it, i coudnt put it into 24hr mode since i asked to rush it 5 days before the deadline. So yeah its all good, the agents on the telephone are dicks tought, not explaininf anything.
