News: BMW 4 series GranCoupe leaked online...

The wonders of benefiting from an immense pool of fanboys; the Apple of the automobile industry.

it's just not that different than the regular 3-series.....it's like when the Mazda 6 was being sold as a sedan and as a liftback. I mean, it's practical to have the liftback but still, it's not like you're gaining that much space....kinda pointless for them to spend anything in R&D to create this thing

Completely off topic but, I had a Mazda6 5-door (liftback), and I can assure you that with the rear seats folded flat the difference in space and practicality between the regular sedan was HUGE!

On topic: I prefer this to the too-small current gen 3-series. It also looks better and not as pedestrian as the 3. Although, I'm not quite sure what niche they're trying to fill with this, or if their sales projections are so high that it offset the cost of development of production facilities for a whole new car. Maybe it's just BMW profiteering from their name: stick the BMW badge on a cow, and clad it with one or two swoopy body panels, and people will line up to pay!

The 3GT shouldn't be on the market. This, however, looks hot...

But I'm sticking with my F31.
