I don't see any major enterprises even considering upgrading from 7 to 8, and I don't think that'll be different in the future. If 9 is as tablet-oriented as 8, it'll flop again.

J'aime le File History de 8.

Mais en général mes clients sont restés à 7 et on downgrade les nouveaux poste à 7 pour garder l'homogénéité des parcs.

Actually it will be free for those who purchased a RETAIL version of 8.1
EOM copies, preinstalled copies, and 8.0 retail copies : Will all have to pay.

8.2 never existed.
It was "8"
Then "8.1"
Then "8.1 Update"
Then was supposed to release "8.1 update 2" but they finally gave up and reserved all the features for Win9
Finally skip 9 and offer 10.
Service Packs are free ; now they removed service packs and get confusing version numbers or names

Apple is more consistent. I like it better for name of versions.

Why ?
Le Backup de Win7 était bien plus complet.
Te laissait choisir quoi inclure, et ça faisait même un Full system Image pour un bare metal recovery.
Windows 8 j'ai peur la prochaine fois que je devrai restaurer d'un HDD Failure.
